Can’t see no path to another way
Before I check the time, I wonder what it means
It didn’t mean a thing before my birth
And now I find the meanings and my meagre worth 
Is only found in dreams

I start a job to busy me
I sing a song so I don’t see
The many choices I tossed upon the floor
Footprints on the pages left unturned
But sometimes I still wonder when the music stops
If love is not worth more

I lay in bed and moralise
I’m too tired to dry my eyes
