Feverkin ft Bijou - Coiled Corner [PASSIVE REMIX]

For Jesse Somfay music has always been about communicating and sharing immense feelings which he finds impossible to convey in any other way. His Borealis alias was born as a twinned satellite to his work under his birth name. Much like conjoined twins, the two share the same heart and breathe with the same lungs, and even though they speak of similar things, they do it from two different vantage points. According to Jesse, it is better for something to be felt in whole than to be defined and reflected upon in approximation, and this album - his sixth to date and second under the Borealis handle - is a truly wholesome, boundless, gorgeous emotional experience on both the end of its creator and its listener. 

Glittervoice is Somfay's most energetically intense work to date. It is both euphoric and dysphoric and the music itself cannot be pigeonholed into any particular genre - hints of techno, oldschool trance or rave complement each other just to ultimately get lost in an artfully crafted trademark sound. It’s easy to allow this multifaceted, hyperlayered, continuously shapeshifting aural multiverse to deprive you of any form of reason, activate all senses and carry you where no music has before, regardless of where you listen to it. Glittervoice’s 16 tracks encompass everything from visceral warehouse techno to stylish ambient compositions via rapid hypnotic drum loops and trance synths of cosmic proportions, all filtered through his unique etherial aesthetic. 

Having something equally introspective and weighty yet exceptionally club-friendly is a rare feat that could soundtrack any modern techno mecca - be it a big dark room or an open air festival. 
The emergence of Borealis meant an unexpected turn for Somfay, but at the end of the day, much like its worthy genre-defying predecessor, Glittervoice is yet another album not of this reality - a sonic guide to entering “the flow”.

For Samuel Evans, or Rain Dog, creating this album was a vast experiment to combine different attempts of blending more traditional elements of song writing and composition with the more contemporary influences of modern electronic dance and bass music, all within the confines of his computer and chair...

Being compelled by melody and variation, Rain Dog, by his own admission, never had much talent for songwriting in terms of lyrics. To circumvent this, however, he focuses on creating a narrative within the music through the combination of synth work and samples. He starts with anything that sparks an interest or emotion in him - Tom Waits, Joni Mitchel, Ella Fitzgerald, Portico Quartet and moments from movies, samples like these usually work as a foundation for the tracks. He then adds layers of unique and organic synth sounds (a notion he finds quite interesting when working entirely from a digital platform) before eventually completing the production with the beat. He likes his music like a nice pie - warm, hearty, and crusty.

I started working on some tunes with <a href="http://soundcloud.com/busta">Busta</a> before the summer of 2012. We'd send samples of work back and forth across the web as he was in Australia and I was in Canada. We were able to work around the clock due to the time difference and I was amazed at how our strengths as producers complimented each other so well. I'd work all day, wake up in the morning and see one of my tunes transformed into something even more brilliant. Then we had some fantastic comic style artwork done from our friend <a href="http://soundcloud.com/adam3">Adam3</a> in Japan and Giorgos (label boss of <a href="http://soundcloud.com/bombastic-jam">Bombastic Jam</a> and the man behind <a href="http://soundcloud.com/basement-freaks">The Basement Freaks</a>) offered to master and release the tunes. So now we truly have an EP that is a global collaboration effort, a greater sum as a whole than the individual pieces. Being Canadian - "I'm stoked!"

This is a mini-mix I put together showcasing all four tunes.

The Global Collaboration EP is the brain child of Timothy Wisdom, hype MC and funk master from Canada's west coast and Busta, the twisted bass technician from Australia. Inductive Goes From Phantom to Star Burst Collision With the Launch of the Label`s First Release; Teleport EP
January 30th,2011 (Tokyo, Japan)

The Tokyo based music label Inductive will release their first project, the Teleport EP.
Inductive embarks on a mission to globally advance listeners` music experience by combining eccentric lyrics with esoteric sounds.
Bearing this mission in mind, Inductive unleashed the Teleport EP which is a futuristic fusion of electro hip-hop resonance, as the vanguard to advance the label`s galactic domination.
The Teleport EP is comprised of 7 tracks. The theme of the EP is a journey into the future of sound and lyrics thru space. Audace deliberately crafts each track as a progression in teleported space travel.

He says ‘I want to take the listeners from ground zero and beam them out through the vastness of the intergalactic‘. He goes on to say ‘Each track is a phase of the journey which is represented by the title of the track. Each track was methodically planned and place to keep the listeners plugged into the theme and
advancing into the depths of the unknown‘.
From the intro the Teleport EP wires the listeners up for a break from the norm. Audace blends the the Teleport EP with edgy space sonic sounds accompanied by down tempo `orbital lounge` music.

In addition he splashes the title tracks with sith twisting mayhem courtesy Xlii and Chiba Chemist aka Zitface Clone. He concludes the Teleport EP with an astro-funk club hopping track.

2011年2月19日、東京に拠点を置く音楽レーベル「Inductive」が初プロジェクト「Teleport EP」をリリースする。

Inductiveは型破りなリリックと奥深いサウンドを組み合わせることによって、音楽体験そのものを進化させることを目的としている。
このミッションを念頭に置いてレーベルとしての野望達成の先駆けとなるべくリリースされたTeleport EPは、エレクトロとヒップホップという二つの異なる音楽を共鳴させ、融合した異色の未

来型サウンドを提供している。

7つのトラックから成る「Teleport EP」のテーマは、「音とリリックの未来への時空の旅」である。プロデューサーのAudace氏は持ち前の緻密な制作技術を駆使し、一つ一つのトラックを、タイトル通り瞬間移動で宇宙空間を旅してゆく過程を表現するように作り上げた。
本人の談によると、「聴く人の意識を浮揚させ、粒子ビームに乗せて広大な銀河に向けて放射したい」との事。Audaceはトラックについて続けて次のように語った。「全てのトラックは、曲名通り光速の旅の段階を象徴しているんだ。未知なる深淵へ徐々に導かれてゆくような構成を目指して曲を制作して、EPの中での位置づけを行った。」

実際「Teleport EP」は、イントロからいきなり「通常」をはるかに逸脱している。さらに聴き進めると、前衛的な宇宙音とダウンテンポな「惑星軌道ラウンジ・ミュージック」を巧みに織り交ぜたAudaceのトラックに引き込まれてゆく。タイトルトラックである「Teleport」にはXliiとChiba Chemist a.k.a. Zitface Cloneのドープすぎるリリックが加わり、最後にフロア志向のアストロ・ファンクなトラックで完結する
