At an early age, Hammerschmidt began to explore different types of music and instruments and started to make music on his own at the age of 10 already. He then fell in love with electronic music when he was 13 years old.
At the age of 15, Eric took his first steps in producing and as a DJ.
After a long journey, he found his passion in dark and impulsive techno music. With his unique style, he has surprised many clubs, parties and dancers all over Germany while developing his signature sound further and further.

But how and who?
It all started in 2009 – Paul stumbling into electronic music as part of an artist/DJ duo, later continuing solo.
Then came the daily hustle – a bit of this, a bit of that.
After years of growth, absence, and reality checks – back at the Mac.

Since then: fully in the zone, project after project, track after track. Hard techno in constant evolution – with no protection from outside influences. 

Genres that shaped Paul’s brain for decades left their marks: From Techno, Memphis Phonk to UK Drill to Garage – it’s all about hard kicks and powerful vibes.

Time to recalibrate your algorithm.

Since 30 years, he was part of the electronic scene in Geneva and has built his world music under the pseudonym Techno Dj Janus. Since 2008 he mixes in his own name " Jean Lostebien ".
Jean is noted for its debut evening of "L'Ancien Palais des Expositions, mythical place where occurred the best parties Progressive Trance Geneva .
Over the years it has been expressed in various parts of Europe such as the Opera Hotel in Kiev, Karlovy Lazne Club in Prague, the Godskitchen in Birmingham, the Love Parade in Berlin, the Titan in Lyon the former Palace and Lake Parade in Geneva, Macumba in St Julien-en-Genevois , the Mad in Lausanne and also rubbed many international DJs on stage.

At the same time he composed and remixed productions to bring a personal touch in his DJ sets .

In 2003 , Jean organizes its first Open Air in the Geneva region and since 2010 there are added other types of events such as Party or Brunch Street Train Zurich. These events are organized under the name Marzan Prod association whose purpose is the promotion of electronic music through outgoing events of the original circle usually offered evenings.

It has the reputation of a style between House and Techno (Progressive). His experience, technical DJ and wide musical culture allow him to surprise his audience but also to adapt to the mood and emotion of the evening. Each of its mix tells a story between melodies and catchy rhythms. His greatest pleasure is to share his passion with his audience and see him dance …

Depuis 30 ans, il fait partie de la scène électronique de Genève et a construit son univers autour de la musique Techno sous le pseudo de Dj Janus. Depuis 2008 il mixe sous son propre nom "Jean Lostebien".

Jean c’est fait remarquer à ses débuts aux soirées de l’ancien Palais des Exposition, endroit mythique où ont eu lieu les meilleures soirées Trance Progressive de Genève. 

Au fil des années il a pu s’exprimer dans divers endroits d’Europe comme par exemple: l’Opéra Hôtel à Kiev, le Karlovy Lazne Club à Prague, le Godskitchen à Birmingham, la Love Parade à Berlin, le Titan à Lyon, l'ancien Palais et la Lake Parade à Genève, le Macumba à St-Julien-en-Genevois, le Mad à Lausanne et a également côtoyé de nombreux DJs internationaux sur scène.

En parallèle il compose et remixe des productions pour apporter sa touche personnelle dans ses sets DJ.

En 2003, Jean organise son 1er  Open Air dans la région genevoise et depuis 2010 s’y sont ajouté d’autres types d’évènements comme des Brunch Party ou le Street Train Zurich. Ces évènements sont organisés sous le nom de son association Marzan Prod dont le but est la promotion de la musique électronique par le biais d’évènements originaux sortant du cercle des soirées habituellement proposées. 

Il a la réputation d’un style entre house et techno (Progressive). Son expérience, sa technique DJ et sa large culture musicale lui permettent de surprendre son public mais également de s’adapter à l’ambiance et à l’émotion de la soirée. Chacun de ses mix raconte une histoire entre mélodies et rythmiques entrainantes. Son plus grand plaisir est de pouvoir partager sa passion avec son public et de le voir danser…
