For this week we're proud to introduce San Francisco based selector Mr. Big Happy of Parrish Council crew who I just had to invite after having my mind blown every day on IG thanks to his daily post series series showcasing 100 records from his collection which just came to an end last week. @bighappy has hand picked a few rare cuts, mostly on 45 from his personal collection to curate a 40 minute set of all b-side instrumentals and we're so excited to share it with you!

Dancing in Your Kitchen with Pete Le Freq 29.10.20

Hello Pacific Summer Sound members !
For this 2nd episode the “Ladies of The Canyon” have escaped from their shelter in the Canyon… They have hacked a train to go meet some friends and party in a ranch lost in a Colorado valley…
So this is the soundtrack for the first part of their night out, titled “Before Midnight Set” that includes a West-Coast and Soul selection with versions of tracks carefully beat-matched that you cannot find anywhere else, in order to warm up the Ladies and get them to party all night.
As usual, this set is kindly offered to the passionate “Pacific Summer Sound” members and the recording is available in HD quality.

The Black Light Disco show muscled it’s way onto to the My House Radio airwaves pm Mon 26th Oct 2020 with a chocolate sprinkled super show of delightful delightfulness. 

BLD resident Ste Hendry (aka Esteban)hosted the show from the studio in BLD Towers, handing over the controls for the second half of to our very, very special guest - the one and only Shit Hot Soundsystem! 

Over the last few years, Shit Hot Soundsystem has built a solid reputation as one of the best producers out there. With a sting of releases to his name on big hitter labels such as Midnight Riot, Slightly Transformed, Samosa Records and Masterworks Music, he is a bona fide legend on the disco scene and we are absolutely ecstatic to have him on the show.

The Architects of the Good Groove have again delved deep to find untapped disco gold material and update it for club systems and basement parties alike.
With infectious tracks plucked from obscurity, full of original touches as long extended mixes instead of the usual dull radio edits 
The four-to-the-floor pulse is imbued with a suggestive bit of shuffle and swing, with accents on the two and four. 
The grooves are more restrained than techno’s, leaning back rather than barreling forward; rich in harmony and atmosphere, buoyant as a jellyfish, bursting with lush textures and phosphorescent tones. 

The music here is highly reflexive; it allegorizes and extends the aesthetic of sampling, 
where the remixed version challenges the aura of the original and claims autonomy even when it carries the name of the original; 
material is added or deleted, but the original tracks are largely left intact to be recognizable.
