This was one of my favorite 80's atmospheric electronic tracks. Rummaging through my old records, I suddenly picked this up and thought I'd try and edit this. As always I try to pay as much respect to the original when I start on an edit, even when I'm constructing a 'dub' version. I didn't really do too much to this, just beefed it up a little (it's already too good on it's own). I hope some of you out there share the same love that I have for this tune and the band.

Massive Attack - Teardrop (Chemical Brothers Unfinished Remix)

This started off as a 5.1 remix and was converted to stereo. It sounds awesome in 5.1. Michael Floyd came up with the initial idea for the remix and then we worked together on it. I got hold of the files for the original version of the song from Robert Smith because we briefly discussed doing a 5.1 remix version of the albums Disintegration and Wish. However the 5.1 format never really took off for music in a big way which is a great shame because it's awesome to mix in surround and the system in my studio sounds amazing. I have a SACD (Super Audio CD) 5.1 version of Dark Side Of The Moon which is glorious to listen to.
