Steinway artist, Chad Lawson, decided Chopin needed a new introduction.  Along with violinist Judy Kang (Lady Gaga, Ryuichi Sakamoto) and cellist Rubin Kodheli (Kanye West, Norah Jones), Lawson has arranged ten Chopin works into a minimalist landscape.

It's a risk editing the "poet of the piano" but one that Chopin would be proud of.  

Taking 10 Chopin works, Lawson decided to scale the works down to a minimalist setting.  "I knew even if bare-bones, Chopin's works could still be as spellbinding as the original compositions we are so familiar with." says the pianist.  

Produced by Chad Lawson & Alejandro Clavijo. Mixed by Stephen Lee Price.  Mastered by Michael Graves of Osiris Studios (Atlanta, GA).

A demo track to showoff some of the presets I have made for Repro5 which are included in its release. I really love the dusty dirty organic nature of this synth, U-He did an incredible job.

(No other plugins of any kind including eq/compressors etc used at all aside from a limiter on the master bus)

Remember The Night

Demo of 14 pads included in the new Lunaris v1.5 update, which adds 100 brand new pads created by Stephan Baer from the Sonic Underworld label, bringing the total amount of pads in Lunaris from 400 to up over 500 presets. The update is fully NKS compatible and completely free for all Lunaris users.

The 100 new pads are very suitable for cinematic and filmscore, ranging from light to dark, from dramatic and slightly distorted pads to lush, bright and subtle stringpads and all created with a focus on CPU usage.

This aesthetic is an ambient meditational soundscape... Conceptually the piece is in part inspired by the film Zardoz, which occurs in the year 2953 A.D. About a species of over evolved humans. This music simply explores the possibilities of an esoteric topography, a mapping of mystical psyonic halls from the pharonic jesters and Pyramid secrets... Alien relics? Astral dimensions? Teleological thaumaturgy of the eschaton. Scatological metaphysics. Catatonic epiphany. Folding space at the fractal gates fulcrum.  Upside down under the holy mountain.  Atlantean shards of crystalled tablets ghost resonance of data overload, data over ride catacombs of the Akashic records. Turbulent synergy across the duck soup clowns in the capitols-- thresholds of circus cacophony. Inverted obelisk.
