For the first time in label history, Keinemusik is putting out an EP with just remixes. The moniker for this: Doppelgänger. The reason for this: Well, we like remixes and were curious to find out how other artists, artists that we appreciate a lot, would approach our material. Why now, you might ask. Why wait for the catalogue number KM038? See, we just wanted to offer those guys a decent pool of tracks to choose from.

Simple Symmetry are going for Adam Ports I Never Wear Black on Side A, transforming the original into a dramatic ride through gong echoing frenzy and riff-heavy e-guitar emphasis. The originals guitar lead on the other hand gets some synthetic treatment, just to be backed up by spaced out synth melodies and an organic bassline.

The second chapter sees &MEs and Finks gruelling comedown score One On One turn into a meditation over groove, courtesy of Bedouin. The guys are going for a sparse, sophisticated arrangement, opening space for Finks shattered croon, yet raising the temperature after the break into a threatening, string-laden climax.

The closing assignment is handled by Redshape. Hes repositioning Rampas Newborn Soul through his very own dark recourse on Electro-Techno. The producer enigma even more so adds some EBM flavour to his signature sound, incorporating a catchy synth bass and heavy, stomping beat. Floor quaking material indeed.

Carlita is a multiculturally inspired DJ/Producer from Turkey. Carlita’s music perfectly represents the mixture of Middle Eastern and Latin American Culture. Her style is a spiritual and unpretentious combination of ethnic beats, latin rhythms, afro disco and tropical psychedelia. According to her, love for music connects people, synch up brains and brings people to the same emotional experience. As Wyoma said: "Singing and dancing along is what binds a community together. It is a way of expressing joy, sorrow, and passion.

It's been 15 years since Luis Rosenberg (@luisrosenberg) spinned his first records. He grew up in Vienna and soon started living and traveling around the world, where he developed his 'globetrotter style' before ending up in Berlin eight years ago.

Over the course of time, Luis established an unique way when it comes to creating a sonic experience. The groove chaser builds up an acoustic spectrum, that feels like a welcoming breeze of fresh air. He is combining instrumental tracks with enchanting voices and electronic atmospheres. Listening to his mixtapes makes it clear that he is influenced by places all over the world.

Our 124th edition couldn't be more diverse. The Austrian is delivering a 72-min session filled up with unexpected surprises. If we could transform our minds into vehicles, now would be the time to start our engines in order to take a ride through this musical journey.

This was one of the most difficult sets I ever played, it was 40 degrees (I had to put my computer in a fridge before playing LITERALLY!!), the sun pointing directly into The Reactor, the sandstorms were so hard that I couldn't even see what was happening around me, and other tough stuff I can't remember now.... But this created the perfect ravy sexy sand storm I was looking for. It was a longer set, but unfortunately the conditions and some technical difficulties just let us record this, but I'm sure is quite enough to share the moment with you.

In my ribs you will see the logo of my camp (Cirque du Shlapy) that was pretty much what made it possible for me to go to Midburn, otherwise I wouldn't have a place to sleep haha but for real it was possible thanks to all their love, inspiration and support.

ABOUT Mia Kaltes:

“Making people dance and offering them a place to escape to, is what makes me tick,” says Mia. For her, openness of mind represents adapting her music to each different moment so she never limits herself to only one kind of music.

Since 2004, Mia Kaltes, a Swiss-Italian who lives in Biel/Bienne, has been mixing in different clubs and alternative places in Switzerland, Prague, Italy, Russia, and Germany. She is a DJ and producer for the label FINEFOOD RECORDS. In February 2017, she and her friend, Abused Disco, released the album "Papillon", composed of two tracks (Techno / Tech House) under the Swiss label: THE LIMBIIC SYSTEM RECORDS. She tries to play vinyl whenever possible but she also went digital, and plays on 4 track Traktor using two MIDI controllers.

I don't know how to start since that moment was truly magical and I could talk about it for ages. It was the perfect end of that already incredible week, but playing in front of that big crowd (my biggest for sure) , connect with them, see all these smiles and energy, and get all this love was unique. Starting hard since it was 3am on the last night and the DJ before me was playing techno, then I tried to take the crowd where I thought it was the best and what I love to play.
