I am very proud to present you Tronic's 500th release. When I started the label close to 30 years ago, I never thought that it would reach such a milestone. There have been many highs and lows, but what kept us going was the true passion for honest house and techno and always trying to push forward! This release features three of my tracks as well as a remix from techno OG Joey Beltram. The second part of the FORTE Remixes of Pan-Pot’s critically acclaimed collection of singles from 2023 is a sonic journey of reworks by four remarkable remixers: Reinier Zonneveld, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Ramon Tapia and Nojre, each reimagining Pan-Pot's iconic tracks with their unique flair.

Reinier Zonneveld's remix of "UTOPIA" immerses listeners in a fusion of classical finesse and relentless techno essence. Infusing the track with epic melodies and pounding warehouse beats, Zonneveld crafts a mesmerizing experience, presenting what he’s best known for. Mysterious lead intertwine with a gummy bassline, while a deep male vocal commands the break, culminating in a tension-filled drop. Following, Sama Abdulhadi's remix of "PROTO" pulses with a psytrance-like energy, showcasing her distinctive perspective as the first Palestinian DJ on the international stage. Playful rhythms merge with hypnotic basslines, accompanied by intriguing modulated vocals and dynamic rally car sounds. The third remix is by Ramon Tapia, who returned to Second State after his track on the prestigious SUM series, delving into the darker shadows of techno with his rework of "PROTO". Haunting lead melodies and deep male vocals resonate amidst siren wails and crunchy percussion, building tension before the explosive drop. Industrial- like percussions and a stomping kick drive the track create an immersive, atmospheric experience. Closing the chapter is Nojre's rework of "CORE“. The young producer, who recently had his debut EP on Second State, blurres the lines between techno and house, delivering a quintessential techno cut with melodic percussive basslines and dominant leads. Drumcode’s newest EP, entitled The Napoli Connection, showcase’s some of the city’s finest techno exports in Rino Cerrone, Markantonio, Joseph Capriati, Sasha Carassi and Luigi Madonna.
 
Kicking off the EP are two of the southern Italian city’s lynchpins, Rino Cerrone and Mark Antonio. Both producer/djs are regarded as godfathers of the scene and it’s not inaccurate to say that their stewardship of the scene in Naples is what has put it on the techno map. Their contribution, ‘Junction Hands’, is a simple filter-driven cut which relies on little more than a paired down percussion set and fluid arrangement to do utmost damage.
 
Drumcode regular Joseph Capriati follows with ‘Vesuvio’, a track which takes both its name and temperament from Naples infamous volcano which overlooks the young producer’s studio. Uncompromising and relentless, ‘Vesuvio’ gives fast insight into why the likes of Dave Clarke and Beyer have been so vocal about Capriati’s talents.
 
Sasha Carrassi, having laid down his ‘Hypercombo EP’ for Drumcode late last year, returns with the heavily percussive ‘Drumline’. Rattling toms, layered snares and shifting rides combine with a superbly judged shuffle to create a track as swinging as it is heavy.
 
Luigi Madonna, having developed a solild reputation via releases for Cerrone’s Loose imprint, turns in the searing, mood onslaught of ‘7 Swords’ to close yet another package of distinctly Drumcode floorkillers.
