“Todo mundo aqui vai dançar!” Quando o dj soltava essa vinheta o Funk tinha dominado a cena e a partir dali ninguém ia ficar parado. A Tupiniquim ama Funk e ama também buscar na raiz. Por isso, o último lançamento da Tupiniquim Remix no 23 inventou a mistura do Maculelê, a raiz, com o Funk, seu fruto “proibido”. Pai e Filho. Sagrado e Profano. Clássico e Contemporâneo. A maneira de tocar eletronicamente os atabaques na levada do Maculelê deu origem ao tamborzão, criado final dos anos 90 pelo DJ Luciano e DJ Cabide na zona oeste do Rio, que é a alma do que ficou conhecido como funk carioca e explodiu no Brasil e no mundo. O famoso “TUM TÁ TÁ TUM TUM TÁ TUM TÁ TÁ TUM TUM TÁ” que todo carioca aprende antes mesmo de trocar a dentição completa.

Nosso maestro de vibes @tuliobaia selecionou dois maculelês históricos da pista tupiniquim: “Boa Noite Pra Quem é de Boa Noite”, originalmente ponto de Malandro adaptado por Mestre Suassuna para Capoeira, e Saudação a Toco Preto do lendário sambista Candeia. Depois disso o produtor musical @arthurmendesmusic entrou em cena com as suas percussões para criar, à nossa maneira, o Tamborzao 90 e encaixar a batida no mashup dos dois Maculelês, junto com elementos modernos como sintetizadores, teclados e vinhetas originais de funk estilizadas, como a que citamos na introdução do texto.

Queremos agradecer a tds os tupis pelo carinho com esse projeto novo que estamos amando fazer. Ano que vem tem mais. E também tem muitas outras novidades da Tupiniquim, a gente vai se ver por aí, e vai ser histórico.

Trained as a fashion designer, the DJ, music producer, and entrepreneur always makes sure she is impeccably dressed to impact the world with her fundamental foundation: music.

Luísa's desire to make a difference in the music scene has led to the conception of JAMBOX, a label that has become a reference in Brazil when it comes to turntablism, the art of manipulating sound and creating music through turntables, mixers, and vinyl. Not surprisingly, Luísa is internationally recognized for bringing great names of the genre to Brazil such as DJ Jazzy Jeff (USA), Grandmaster Flash (USA), DJ Craze (USA), DJ Nu-Mark (USA), and DJ Babu (USA), as well as rapper Talib Kweli (USA). JAMBOX is also involved in artist management for rappers and DJs, music publishing, and is one of the creators of JOINT, a party that has been a powerful space for the appreciation of Hip-hop culture and good music since 2022.

Energy is a word that defines Luísa on and off stage. Her charisma, combined with her vast musical knowledge, has led the artist to tour Brazil and the world playing alongside world renowned artists at the country's top parties and venues and in partnerships with global brands. Her significant career also led her to share her journey with Forbes magazine in 2022 and to be one of the ambassadors for the Women's Music Event in Brazil.
