After over two years we are finally are back with another split EP for our 12' Vinyl Series 'No Boundaries' this time for the edition number three, we are extremely happy to have 3 Illegal Alien members involved in this record. For the A Side we got an incredible collaboration between the greats Mari Mattham, Ricardo Garduno and the one and only Stanislav Tolkachev who is no stranger and the label, the Ukrainian artists has been releasing on the Illegal Alien Records for a very long time and it is a pleasure to always have him back and to complete this fantastic release for the B Side we got the mighty French Producer DJ Saint Pierre.

Breathless

After his excellent releases on Axis, Mote Evolver, Token and last one on Non Series, Orbe signed this adventure with 3 amazing works. The EP entitled Post Cycle includes four mesmerizing techno trips. Focused on coherence and hypnotism. Three club oriented original tracks by Orbe on both sides, this EP is completed with one remix, made by Deluka with his personal melodic touch, minimalism percussions and deep sounds.

PREMIERE: Aiken "Drive Unit" (Non Series)

Following a 15-year hiatus from publishing, Neapolitan techno’s founding imprint – Conform Records – made an emphatic resurgence in 2020 to resume its intrinsic role in the progression of electronic music, ensuring that the genres’ virtuous roots and formative values remained instilled within its future. Having re-released its entire back-catalogue in digital format from its original DAT distribution in the 90s, label head Gaetano Parisio now shifts his focus to the modern audience, with contemporary records that serve to marry these two golden eras of dance music. 

Showcasing his immense theoretical knowledge and authenticity, earned through decades of experience in the industry, Parisio’s latest project – his 6 part ‘Fragments 2930’ EP – honours the meditative euphoria of Conform’s early releases. Militant and driving in their effect, each cut presents its own melodious theme; running parallel to the strong percussive undercurrent of high impact techno that can be heard across the extended player. ‘Fragments 2930’ was initially conceived as a single sound block and later fragmented into these 6 single units. As represented in its title, ‘Fragments 2930’ also includes the catalogue numbers 29 and 30, with the double vinyl characteristic of a 2-release miniseries. 

Gaetano’s latest release is further proof that the label’s discography now only grows to hold more future classics.

BCCO Premiere: Gaetano Parisio - Klytia [CNFR29/30]

We are super glad to finally have Sciahri in the label. This producer is one of those who has a signature in techno, always finding new boundaries, pushing forward to create the best possible techno.

For this first adventure with us he delivers 5 cuts, four on vinyl and an extra number on zeroes and ones.

The Ep begins straight to the point with the metallic and continuous sequences of Dying Nature. An ode to modulation and movement, carefully crafted for the best dancefloor experience.

No regrets is the second cut, this time the flow is slower, with a crispy groove soon overlapped with a flanged synth line that changes violently as the bars go by.

On the B side Purity is synthetic and elastic, with an anabolic sub bass line that shakes the room while high frequencies massage your brain.

Closing the physical release Aurora, gray and opaque with dynamic sequences rolling over a filtered beat.

As a digital extra, Hurricane brings the energy again with empowered kick drums, industrialized ring modulated lines and a super dynamic arrangement. A sonic odyssey filling the whole frequency range.

Sound> Classifying Flores’s sound is a difficult feat, and that is precisely the  point. His personality and experience are present in every track he produces, resulting in a dark, groove driven sound. Luis’s interaction with the machine becomes the listeners’ interaction with auditory landscapes of eeriness, altered states and paranoia. A minimal use of elements results in a rich spectrum of textures and a dark and trippy dance floor pull. Live shows, improvisational in nature, can last anywhere from 2- 5 hours, resulting in a hypnotic exploration of the possibilities of electronic production.

Bio> In the more than 17 years he has been producing electronic music, Luis Flores has not only made a name for himself but has been at the forefront of a movement that made the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, a hot spot for electronic music production and events. At the center of this movement was Nopal Beat Records, a label he ran from 1998 to 2006. At the same time, he also worked with the city’s cultural bureau to produce a string of massive, free public events that could bring electronic music to a wider group of people and provided a stage for local producers.

In 2007, he returned to the studio focused once again in his techno roots which quickly yielded results like his enduring relationship with L.A.’s Droid Behavior or the demand for his live shows.

In 2009 the release of the “Damage” EP on Droid Recordings, established Flores as an international artist with its immediate success, making the charts of artists such as Speedy J, The Detroit Grand Pubbahs and Chris Liebing’s Best 10 of 2009. In 2010, Dietrich Schoenemann’s Hidden Agenda released “Pain + Prosthetics”, an EP which among other things includes a collaboration with Canadian: Vitamins 4 U.

Flores published “Love Your Machine” under the German imprint Micro.Fon the following year. Further exploring the audiovisual aspect of his music, he created the video teaser for the single using J.G. Ballard’s “Crash” as reference and inspiration.

In 2012 he returned to Droid for the release of “New Flesh” which included remixes by label owner Drumcell and CLR’s Brian Sanhaji. This year was also marked by people's interest in his sound with remix requests for legendary names like Jam n Spoon and The Advent.

2013 began with his first collaboration with Berlin based producer Material Object and the release of the “Crowd Control” EP under the Impact Unit moniker for the French label Silent Steps and in 2014 he released “Rituals of Submission” on Detroit’s Blank Code, “Test Pattern” EP in the Spring for CLR and the “Metal” remix for Black Asteroid under EDLX.

He began 2015 with the the release of “43” on Alex Bau’s Credo compilation and with his 3rd release for Droid Recordings, the “Static Forces” EP.

Luis has represented México at the Meet in Beijing, ADE in Amsterdam, Borderline Festival in China, Brussels BEMF, among others.
