The African-born / Auckland-based duo of Kurt PSYCHO Murray (Cape Town, South Africa) and Seydou DALIX Cisse (Bamako, Mali) have grown up together listening to the revolutionary African music of Fela Kuti, Ali Farka Toure, Ebo Taylor, and Lucky Dube, sharing a love of Hip-Hop with influences such as Pete Rock, Wu Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Mobb Deep, KRS One and Quasimoto, and soaking in the wisdom of Jazz legends like Sun Ra, Thelonious Monk, Art Blakey, Horace Silver as a soundtrack to explore and exchange their philosophies and perspectives of life.
