Hunab Ku was the Supreme Creator God of the Mayan pantheon and represented the solar calendar, the balance of forces, perfection, universal consciousness, but also the gateway to other parallel dimensions.

The Symbol of Hunab Ku
Hunab Ku was depicted only through his symbol, but had no actual visible form. He was associated with two other deities: Itzamnà, his son, and Huracan, the god of wind and storms.

Hunab Ku is also a symbol analogous to yin and yang and resembles the shape of a spiral galaxy; Hunab Ku is also the symbol of the center of the Milky Way: the "galactic butterfly."

The Mayan calendar was entirely based on the position of the "galactic butterfly," since the fate of humanity depended on it.

The legendary Sonica Dance Festival took for the first time place in the beautiful valley of Tramonti di Sotto in Northern Italy. The stunning landscape, the mild climate and the crystal clear water equally contributed to the festival such as the well balanced and very tasteful line up (with 9 Sangoma Records acts involved !!). I had the honour to play in the first night of the festival, before one of my favorite forest-music producers these days, Meerkut from France. I must say have not had such a vivid and euphoric dancefloor in a long time, Italians truly know how to party and channel their first-night-euphoria into some truly exuberant dancing-activities. Thanks to everybody who made it!
