Cylindric is the sound art project of Matt Pinker. With a background in experimental composition, he aims to explore these ideas through the lens of techno. Growing up in Manchester formed an appreciation of environmental aesthetics, from industrial landscapes to wild Pennine scenery. This was crystallised though years of musical training and later in Northern clubs and warehouses. After living in his partner’s home of Cyprus he was impacted by the organic landscape and psychedelic music scene there. Since returning to Manchester he is creating new music exploring the continuum of hypnotic and psychedelic techno with drone and deep atmospheres at its core.
