Global Trance Grooves celebrates it's landmark 100th Edition. 

This monthly show was started back in 2003 and has proved a roaring success topping over 2 million subscribers on iTunes. To celebrate this historic event, John has created a special 2-hour mix in the same vein as his award winning BBC radio 1 Essential mix. He's added extra production, pads, synth, fx and re-Edits. This mix is code named 'JOOF Editions Vol 1' as this could lead the way to John's new mix compilation format/series.

I’m really enjoying this time away from my usual manic tour life — it’s giving me space to re-energise, reset, and reflect on where I want to be musically. I’ve been hunting for new music, discovering fresh artists and labels, and reconnecting with the sounds that inspire me.
I also spent some time listening back to old mixes of mine — BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes and more — and it reminded me just how deeply rooted Deep Hypnotic Trance is in my journey. It’s always been a significant part of my history, so I’m excited to share some of my latest finds in this new very deep, hypnotic mix.

We’re reliving this wonderful moment from when I played at BOOM Festival on The Alchemy stage in 2018. All sets have been played on BOOM radio and socials apart from mine that wasn’t recorded due to a technical problem and since then has been the biggest request. 


The back story to this weeks theme:

I’m having fun over these past few weeks thinking of new ideas to keep our different themes running each week and have another for you. Probably the most annoying trait from me for everyone is that I never record sets, its the biggest question that I always get asked after a gig. The music software I use to organise my music/playlists for the CDJ’s (Rekordbox) saves all the set histories from the gigs that I’ve played, so let me replay a set that stood out for you so that you and others can relive that moment.

At these uncertain times the first thing you take care of is your family and I’m no different. Many of you are organically sending me personal messages of support wanting to send donations in return for live broadcasted sets, live Q&A’s and basically lots of content to keep you entertained during these days of lockdown, so I will use this idea to keep my JOOF office family afloat. A music aficionado with an obsessive, compulsive desire to dig deep for dance floor weapons, Algorithm has spent two decades mastering his craft.
