Hailing from the back drop of Melbourne city and an upbringing immersed in music and the wilderness; Skwid is fusing many different elements of sound to bring a fresh taste of psychedelic electronica to the dance ground.

With many years experience and exploration of organic and synthesised sounds, Skwid walks a line between deep, diverse soundscapes and full power rhythm heavy energies.

I love to play emotive, energizing electronic dance music, often drawn towards deep, downtempo electronica influenced from instrumental and organic soundscapes from the many cultures of this world. 

My intent is to create meaningful musical journeys suited to anything from a meditative state of reflection, hypnotic movements, and all the way through to ecstatic dance. 

Creating, or shifting the vibe of a space with intention and style is the core element of my sets, using an ebb and flow of musical moods to mold that of the listener, and to move the heart, the body and the soul.

A music aficionado with an obsessive, compulsive desire to dig deep for dance floor weapons, Algorithm has spent two decades mastering his craft. Igniting his passions for a wide range of genres as a young DJ on the club circuit, he developed a deep understanding of the sounds he now uses to stir up dusty dance floors. In the past few years alone he has graced the stages at some of the scene’s most influential and respected events such as Rainbow Serpent Festival, Earthcore, Yemaya, Babylon, Esoteric and Eclipse Festival. 
Embracing the energy and exciting influences the festival circuit offers, Algorithm has honed his sound and abilities to a fine art, having broadened his tastes and style, he's become a trusted source of musical magic across all listening spaces. Each time he takes the stage, armed with an inspiring range of sounds and well thought-out sets, Algorithm forms the path of the dance floor journey and takes the punters on a ride.
