Robert Babicz returns home to his excellent BABICZSTYLE imprint with five tasty treats for your ears and your feet. Here we find Robert integrating a lot of melodies, a stack of melancholic sounds and his beloved acid lines to beautiful effect, pushing his sound in a different direction, while still sounding like classic Babicz.

Starting proceedings we have 'Melancholy' that oozes with emotion, and subtleties, deep but warm, happy but sad, with a retro feel about it, yet as fresh a s daisy.

'Cats In Space' is an epic affair, it locks you in to its spell and undulates beautifully, as we are teased along gracefully through this voyage. Gently building and locking you in to its magical spell, this gem intensifies and is one of those magical tracks that sends crowds wild. Hints of yesteryear with its trance like nods, but brought back to date by Mr B.

'Far Away' is a deeper vibe, a little tougher, and out comes the 303, but in a restrained manor here, as this sound track style gem unfurls.

'Take A Walk At The Sugarside' is more restrained acid from Robert, adding melodies and warm, but with that underpinning grittiness.

And to close things off, the Acid Mix of 'Far Away'. The analog factor is take up a notch as we are treated to some 303 filthiness, yet shrouded in emotion.

Superfriends is the new label from Andhim; a label that captures the pair’s charm and ebullience, not only from their past releases but also serves as a stylistic trajectory to date; one that has moved from gentle eclecticism through infinite fun into a refined and contagiously unique electronic sound.

Andhim have over the last decade cultivated an exceptionally loyal fan base of musical lovers and peers alike; that continue to crave the German pairs musical agility and action packed forays.

Superfriends is far from a obvious tick in andhim’s career “to do list” but a strong clue that they are capably poised to continue their anti-intellectualism approach to everything they do.

The international colours of andhim continue to reach all corners of the dance floor focusing less on the narrative and more on the big and fun– Superfriends is set to be an outlet for the production/DJ duo’s most ambitious ideas. An independent exercise in only the finest studio output from themselves but those that inspire, influence and impress.

The first release “Tosch EP” is pristine in production and devoid of existing label noise, where powerfully subtle melodies can sit side by side with immersive dance floor heavy electronic music.

“Tosch EP” signals the pairs desire to remain multifaceted in approach and DIY in execution while also slowly revealing the imagination behind it. The culmination of an intensely creative career to date; andhim brandish a variety tonal ideas that include spacious, diversified and unforced melodies that capture the emotion displayed in the DJ booth.

A rapidly growing force within the underground dance industry, Mikhail Akulich, has hit the ground running with an ever-expanding portfolio of tracks under his Michael A pseudonym. Now returning to Proton Music, he presents the three-track "Symbol" EP.

From Mozyr, on the Pripyat River, Michael A has continued to reach far beyond the borders of his Belarusian homeland. An artist who is the epitome of modern twenty-first century production techniques, benefitting from the world of social media and dissolving global barriers afforded by modern communication techniques, Michael A continues to cut an impressive figure.

Owner of the celebrated Genesis Music imprint, the Michael A name has consistently found itself allied to a plethora of blue chip labels. A regular on the likes of Balkan Connection, Superordinate and 3rd Avenue, Mikhail's work has also featured on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, with the February 2017 "Micrologica" EP. Over five-hundred production credits can thus be found next to the Michael A name in a short five-year span.

Particles accounts for a score of those credits that have included a wealth of original material, not least in the March 2014, "Behind the Moon" and 2017, "Sapphire" EPs. Remixes for the likes of James Monro, Huminal, and GMJ are a fine corollary and it was an honour to welcome Michael A to the ranks of the Proton Music roster with the highly accomplished "Bright Hope" EP in February 2017. A remix of Luc Angenehm's "Kaiserkraft" quickly followed in April as Michael returns to Proton with the outstanding "Symbol".

The title track revels in a rich percussive groove that clicks and pops its way across the upper frequencies with a wealth of clave and wood block effects. A delicious freeform melodic line waves a magical path in tandem with pulsating side-chained pads that come to the fore in a stripped back breakdown. As bass, rhythm and melody converge in the latter half, Michael A's productions skills are in full evidence.

"Orbital" continues the trademark Michael A groove as a driving beat provides the perfect anchor for an analogue bass line to fill the rhythmic space with consummate ease. A haunting melodic refrain finds its own space in the mid-point breakdown, continuing into the third movement with exquisite precision. Surrounded by stereo-panned effects that increase intrigue, a wonderfully developed sinister edge is inherent in the aural melange.

Final track, "Centaur" hits hard with its opening four-to-the floor beat as off-beat hi-hats, shakers and claves add a further sense of depth and percussive groove. Ethereal pads layer texture and atmosphere as a running bass line adds a subtle sense of dance floor energy. Undulating gently across the seven-and-a-half-minute voyage, Michael A's sonic architecture creates a vibrant and hypnotic work that is sure to find favour across the globe.

As Michael A creates a "Symbol" of impressive depth and variation, the musical vignette within is sure to find the key to success.

With recent releases for some of the scene’s leading labels, Fideles (aka Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti) are an Italian duo on the rise. Their spellbinding ‘Impressum’ EP is both a fine example of the Fideles sound and exactly in keeping with the direction Tale Of Us are steering their Afterlife label. Inspired by the Ionian sea in Southern Italy, low-pitched basslines and soaring synths give the tracks just the right amount of drama, whilst the rich sound-design allows them to make the most of a big system; something Tale Of Us have put to great use in their sets this year. Australian artists, Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle have ridden the crest of a sonic wave in recent months with their GMJ and Matter soubriquets. Highly accomplished individually, each has performed across their native Australia and internationally at a variety of clubs and festivals, not least at the globally renowned "Rainbow Serpent Festival".
