The fledgling Omnibeats compilation series turns the focus towards Beat Assassins late July with his ‘Bass Ravers In Hackney’ mix.

Jimmy Mofo aka Beat Assassins made his mark via a run of club events in London and critically acclaimed releases when he worked with Joe Lenzie from Sigma under the alias in the early 2000’s, picking up various awards and touring the globe as one of the driving forces in Breakbeat and Drum & Bass. Jimmy later ended up going solo and working on a new Grime focused alias with DJ Sai called Koshii and has recently gone back to his roots releasing the Drum & Bass he’s known for.

Here though we see Beat Assassins delving deep into the back catalogue of Rogue Industries, Bad Boys Records and Champion Records to deliver the latest Omnibeats mix compilation and glancing back at some of the revered records in the field of Drum & Bass and Electro from the labels past and more present years. Across the mix Beat Assassins delivers a high-octane fusion of sounds ranging from soaring vocals, gritty bass leads and spiraling breaks to create a raw and energetic hour with a nostalgic old school feel.
