Raven Song (Wu Wei Remix) - Elephant Revival

"Medicine” is a song-anthem honoring the traditions of folk medicine; plant-based medicine as a tool for empowerment and healing. It is a call to action to support the voices of the herbalists, healers, and teachers… the roots, plants, trees, and stones… the arts, the spirits, and the wild ones. It is an honoring of all the many ways that we can be well, and the radical and traditional ways in which we can steward health within ourselves. 

This song is a direct tribute to the people around the world who are holding and teaching these ways of herbal plant-based medicine, educating us all to know our gardens, our forests, our plants and our own bodies... to bring wellness back into our own hands and communities. It is not a dismissal of modern medicine, but a gratitude and honoring of its ancestry and foundations within folkloric traditions. 

This release comes on the New Moon after the Fall Equinox. As we are moving into a new season, a new time, and a new chapter, we offer this song as a ritual anthem for this transition and time of great change.

Electronic-acoustic project KAYATMA was conceived on the sensual tropical island immediately after the End of the world. Love and Sea intertwined in the music, which creates Konstantin, sound producer from St. Petersburg, also known participation in collective Kaustika. In a new project KAYATMA chill spiced ethnics and synthetic overtone intertwined with emotions live instruments. Saxophone, duduk, flute, violin and other strings, as well as guitar, sitar, harmonica and even Balinese gamelan orchestra. And the whole musical fabric woven of electronics with breakbeat rhythms.

Hungarian DJ Amazon, KATAMII, resident and music manager of the Ozorian PUMPUI Stage, collected her latest favorites to present them to radiOzora listeners – live from the studio.

If you've been to O.Z.O.R.A. Festival, you've probably heard Katamii playing: her sets are elemental parts of the Pumpui stage, meanwhile she's one of the musical leaders and managers of the stage too.

Everything started with OZORA, where she revealed her soul-music in front of a major audience for the first time in 2011. Since then she's been the warm up for Eitan Reiter or Minilogue (among others) and this year she played before Perfect Stranger, who's been a dominant figure in her musical career.

She's been invited to play at Samsara- and Bakony Festivals in Hungary, two years ago she played at Seli Mountain Gathering in Greece and next year she's going to perform at Psy-Boutique Festival in Turkey.

She has a really impulsive style and you can always find that sneaky deep pulse in her music that sees through her sets – she's a real wolf in sheep's clothing.

When I showed up to the stage is was a pleasant surprise to see thousands of people there at the opening ceremony for the festival.  I didn't know that ceremony was going to be on the stage I was performing at (Earth Stage, pic is shown), so this was an epic surprise. The ceremony was very powerful and moving and I ended up picking new songs of mine to start out my set about 60 seconds before I started playing music. Symbioses throws my favorite music festivals in the US so I'm deeply grateful to be involved! It's free download and the quality with the free download sounds WAY better than SoundCloud.

This set was from 6-8:30pm. There was a break a half hour into it for a circle that happens with some discussion with the community, the only edit I made to this recording was to take out that part. I went into this event intentionally not knowing what songs I would play or in what order I would play them, I decided to pick them on the fly depending how how things felt in the moment. Eugene, Oregon (where this dance was) has stronger affinity toward vintage music than any place I can think of so I was trying to work that into this mix a bit. Huge thank you to the awesome people putting on Coalessence and to the dancers rocking that dance floor!

Those stages allow for some bigger atmospheres and sounds that may not work as well with smaller ones. It was a sort of "Free Flow" for my creative soul. Luke’s dynamic live act includes playing a mixture of electronic and acoustic music while mixing in multiple live wind instruments and live drumming. His lifelong devotion to community dance medicine started at age 14 in 1998 when he started to DJ at northwest USA raveriffic events! He then started touring the world and releasing hundreds of songs released with a large number of the biggest labels in the world like Selador, Desert Hearts, Digital Structures, Dreaming Awake, Desert Trax, Booka Shade Music. 

This is deep piscean scorpio music, sprinkled with unusual sounds, unexpected twists, eclectic mix of global sounds, various tempos and grooves. It reflects stories of love-driven culture and open-minded ideas.  Depending on the crowd, the sets can vary from being pretty and uplifting to deep, dark, and primal, although they typically feature melodic and atmospheric textures infused with a lot of emotion.  Luke also has a functional (natural, root cause) medicine practice as this weaves so beautiful with dance and music medicine. He helps people heal frequent issues of the gut, metabolism and tiredness.
