Live Set at the Mishawaka - Celebrating 25 years!

Just days before Summer Solstice, Liquid Bloom performed a powerful set inside Meow Wolf Denver’s Numina exhibit as part of a sold-out PORTAL event during the Psychedelic Science conference. This unique night brought together a global web of psychonauts, artists, and seekers inside the surreal dreamscape of Convergence Station.

Following a rare and beautiful DJ set from East Forest, Liquid Bloom guided a journey from ambient and downtempo into bass, drum & bass, and tribal midtempo—culminating in a high-energy blend of house rhythms and ecstatic movement. A live surprise from Poranguí added soul-stirring vocals to the mix, and a closing invocation from Ram Dass gently brought the spaceship back to Earth.

So, here's my set from the Chillout Gardens at #Boomfestival 2016. So exciting to play there for the first time, a beautiful and crazy experience..!  This was a 12:00 - 14:00 set in the crazy sunshine (shaded..) for some context.. :) Also, in the interests of openness, this is a backup of my set, as I couldn't record the actual set, due to technical issues (and even had to rely on this backup at times). Luke’s dynamic live act includes playing a mixture of electronic and acoustic music while mixing in multiple live wind instruments and live drumming. His lifelong devotion to community dance medicine started at age 14 in 1998 when he started to DJ at northwest USA raveriffic events! He then started touring the world and releasing hundreds of songs released with a large number of the biggest labels in the world like Selador, Desert Hearts, Digital Structures, Dreaming Awake, Desert Trax, Booka Shade Music. 

This is deep piscean scorpio music, sprinkled with unusual sounds, unexpected twists, eclectic mix of global sounds, various tempos and grooves. It reflects stories of love-driven culture and open-minded ideas.  Depending on the crowd, the sets can vary from being pretty and uplifting to deep, dark, and primal, although they typically feature melodic and atmospheric textures infused with a lot of emotion.  Luke also has a functional (natural, root cause) medicine practice as this weaves so beautiful with dance and music medicine. He helps people heal frequent issues of the gut, metabolism and tiredness.
