AEON references back to Alex Niggeman’s roots – the music which inspired him to start his career as a DJ and producer – and was created as a platform to release music that stands for quality and originality. David Douglas is a Dutch electronica producer. He released his debut EP “Royal Horticultural Society” in 2012 and released his debut album ‘Moon Observations’ on 22 May. 

Right after the release of 'Moon Observations' on Atomnation, the Utrecht based producer brings a club edit of 'Je Ne Sais Pas', one of the standout tracks of his current live-set. Spanning over 6 minutes, this track is an uptempo blueprint of David's productions - consisting of strong Moog basses, Space Echo-ish dub snares and drums that always have a detailed touch. It's the stunning harmonies though that give David's music signature sound and the best part about it is that it we can provide the track FREE.

Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

Grip the physical via трип from July 15th onwards.

One of the most eagerly anticipated electronic albums of 2012 is finally released! After a series of groundbreaking singles: Pain In the Ass, Im Week and Ghetto Kraviz (featured here) Muscovite Nina Kraviz is set to release her eponymously titled debut artist album on Radio Slaves superb Rekids imprint. Ninas album is a combination of stripped-bare house, deepest Detroit sounds via beautifully ambient pockets and more soul infused slo-mo jams, all coated with an authentic analogue finish and Nina exquisite vocals. The music is emotive and engaging, whilst being something truly original and inspirational. The album features collaborations with Hard Ton and King Aus. Playing out like a full artistic statement rather than just a collection of tracks, the odd time signatures, innocent and waify vocals, muted acid lines and hypnotic loops layered up by Nina all work subtly at pulling you into her world. A superbly, executed and accomplished debut album that has already set the bar high for electronic albums this year.

Praterei is back and no pseudonyms this time, but a rites of passage for some brothers into the world of 4x4. The New Tower Generation are homegrown Viennese talents more known for their musical prowess in the live domain or on your favourite broken beat record but they come to Praterei 004 with an uncanny affinity for the essence of house music.  The one fingered layers of 'Horny Goat Weed' build to create a loose but purposeful assault into a dancefloor groove that might have existed at any point in the last 20 years - determined, jacking and Mellotron-tastic. 'Trembolon' is an altogether more multi-timbral affair.  From the off we're in balmy sonorous territory and the building synth line counterpoints the relentless jazz loop, accented by live percussion. If you're not roused by this you need to check your pulse.

Beginning of 2012 Phase caused quite a storm in techno’s landscape with the release of ‘Binary Opposition’. Both versions, “Process 1 &amp; 2”, fierce pieces of relentless yet deep techno, got on heavy rotation by Blawan, Ben Klock, Surgeon, Marcel Dettmann, Dave Clarke, to name a few.
 
A few months later, we present ‘Binary Opposition Reprocessed’. Assembling a remix package for this project wasn’t a difficult task, as all remixers were noted fans of the original tracks and supporters of Phase as an artist.

Praterei return with their 5th instalment and so do those twins with their second successive offering to the Vienna stable! The ingredients on this one are similar to the last but the result is no less stirring.

The rough and ready side of the 12 belongs to the aptly entitled 'House' and you'll soon see why. 
Never straying too far from the old school; shuffling beats and rims keep things swinging. 
Each layer of the melody is deep in 'you'll be whistling this later' territory and intermittent vocal shouts remind us exactly what it is we are listening to.

The flip beckons for you to 'Walk With Me' and that you must. 
The beat saunters along but always with a sanguine skip and our seductive protagonist guides 
us through the warm textures of rich pads and stabs.

This is one of those records where, for both tracks, the message could not be more perfectly translated. Every aspect contributes to a common goal, and that's a rare and quite special thing.

There are few DJs and producers in the modern techno world who can truly claim to have pioneered a style and sound, and call it their own. Such statements are often declared, but rarely justified. In the case of Ben Long and Jamie Bissmire, the names behind the revered Space DJz this claim would be unarguable.

Following on from their debut release of ‘Level 7’ on Artform in 2012, Space Dubs features four cosmically enhanced Dub tracks – Hard Times along with Space DJz own House Dub workout, a stripped down dub of Level 7 from Roberto and a roots inspired Dub Tool from Artform head honcho Jamie Anderson. 

Originally set up in 1997 by Jamie Anderson, Artform has racked up over 15 year’s of Detroit and Chicago influenced Techno and House championed by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, DJ Sneak, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Dave Angel and Laurent Garnier. The label released the first records of Jesse Rose and Jamie Anderson along with music and remixes by other world renowned artists. Together with Jamie Anderson, Artform is respected for playing an integral role in pioneering the worldwide Tech-House phenomena.
