"Teenaged Nezha" is the debut 12” from recondite duo Handsome Head on Hound Scales’ and Divvorce’s Fifth Wall Records, returning to the label after the release of their track "Tech, Fourth Period" on Fifth Wall's "No Person is an Island" V/A charity compilation. The EP consists of two walloping 150 to 155 bpm originals, accompanied by two pulsating Henning Baer remixes and a cantankerous, machine-like version from Hound Scales.

Support includes Darko Esser, Perc, Sinden, Eomac, J. Tijn, Samuli Kemppi, Tom DiCicco, Tessela, and Truss.

Having only a scant few releases to its name, L.B. Dub Corp, one of Luke Slater's lesser used guises, slinks in and out of the scene, dropping off quality EP's and remixes when you least expect it. Finding a new and appropriate home on Ostgut, the Take It Down (In Dub) EP has two spacey hitters. A slappy bass, a noise wash, and a growling kick are what kick off the title track, slowly giving way to a slightly pitched down vocal drop of "take it down." 

Not nearly as high in the BPM's as Slater's Planetary Assault System productions, "Take It Down" is a slyly warping beast. It has a pristine sludge to it that begs for an eyes-closed demonic shuffle, its brooding drone perfect for early hour madness. More than halfway through, though, the entire thing shifts to reveal a grimey, rinsed out synth that opens the entire 11+ minutes of the track up to a new feel and intensity. 

Where things really get interesting is on flipside "It's What You Feel." One of the most inviting basslines in a while partners with a steady synth pad for a cleverly produced house track. A steady groove paves the way for a classic piano line summoned from Chicago. This B-side monster is the perfect counterpart to the A, and makes this one of Slater's best efforts since his PAS EP on Ostgut last year.

None other than Luke Slater, one of the most renowned and inspiring artists in today´s electronic music scene, did a very personal and sophisticated remix of MOTOR´s recent single “Man Made Machine”. For this memorable undertaking the British producer is actually using his legendary Planetary Assault Systems moniker.

Never wanting to dwell on one idea for too long, we've tried something totally different here. Joining forces with our good friend Gary aka Ejeca we've done a track heavily inspired by the early 90s warehouse rave era with a modern twist. 

Panorama bar's Steffi has turned out a fantastic remix and the 12" also includes a track we did with Omar from Waze & Odyssey! 

We're very excited to be joining the mighty AUS family on this one!

MOTE032 :: Planetary Assault Systems  - Deep Heet Volume 3

Planetary Assault Systems presents Deep Heet Volume 3, the third instalment of one of Luke Slater’s most seminal series to date on Mote-Evolver and carrying on the series of intergalactic exploration. 

Voltan rips the EP open. Inspired by the Mayan god of drums and the earth, Voltan is underpinned by primal desires. Huge bass drives the track forward and an angry undercarriage whirls deep below. Peppered with snares and licks of white noise, the EP starts as it means to go on.

Pygar’s futuristic sound palette is utterly hypnotic. Loops are layered insistently and despite the 4/4 structure a disorientating soundscape emerges. Filled with sounds that could just as well have been sampled from a space station as coaxed from a synthesiser, Pygar is optimised for the chaotic afterhours.

On the flip side the abstract references are abandoned in favour of the concrete. Turn erupts with syncopated rhythms, metallic rasps and mechanical warning signals. It’s the stuff of industrial nightmares.

Flat Tire is built on an angular bed of noise and interspersed with low, deep rumblings. The track fans outwards as ecstatic details are layered one upon another, ensuring that the EP closes on an enduringly hypnotic note.

Planetary Assault Systems has created four tracks that don’t play by the rules. Deep Heet Volume 3 is Luke Slater yet again innovating with four tracks that fuse together the experimental, the bold and the brutal.

Darkhaus Vol. 01 EP - Underton 04

On the fourth Unterton release The Black Dog present a new sound somewhere between House and Techno that The Black Dog call Darkhaus. The original version of „Council Flat Emptiness“ is an infectious, futuristic, disco-tinged version of a progressive dancefloor workout bathed in strings, mellow melancholia and heavy bass. This is preceeded by a straight to the point stripped down version that multiplies the hypnotic elements of the original.

On the B-side a 9-minute-30-something Remix from Luke Slaterʼs L.B.Dub Corp project drives the original into classic Slater territory where Techno and Groove marry and electrify each other.

After a successful debut album, the first release by the masked BSD in 2011 is coming...

"Malditos BONUS TRAXXX!" is the title of this piece divided into 3 EPs that collect some productions that were left off when developing the album "Malditos BASS-STAR-DOS!" as well as some remixes of the songs included in the aforementioned Long Play.

In this “Part 1” you can enjoy 2 tracks. First, an Electro-House remix of acclaimed “Compute” by BSD themselves, still retaining the original freshness with a new dirty funk twist that makes it have that look so street. 100% recommended for those moments of apotheosis in the Big Rooms at the most critical moments in the morning. We are not responsible for the effect in humans.

The second is an unreleased track entitled “Paramnesia”. Following the Tech-Funk beat, it immerge us into the world of memories after hypnotizing us through its bass-line and its suggestive sequences. While the sounds invade us, our mind is creating scenes that we thought to live and yet we have not.
