Throughout 2019, Earlybird have been cooking up music. Mostly on Wednesdays. The long forays into walls of synthesised noise and glitchy beats have morphed into a unique blend of alternative electronic pop, laid upon hauntingly expansive and glitchy soundscapes. 

Late Again is the debut single. It was recorded on a laptop between living rooms and kitchens. It will be officially released on 30/09/2019.

Miss a Beat takes you along a path. From one stop to the next on a pathway of love and loss. Like the first single, it was recorded between living rooms and kitchens, before being mixed and mastered at Woodbine Street Studio in Leamington Spa, by John Rivers.

Miss A Beat

A 'Sun Dance' is a ritual dance to heal childhood trauma and look towards a brighter future. The song is based on a character from a musical project David (guitar, vocals, keys) worked on about a child growing up in care, negotiating love, religion and challenging circumstances.

'This Says' is the new single from British indie/alt. folk singer-songwriter Luke James Williams. Recorded and produced by Nick Kozuch at Unit Studios in Hertfordshire UK, it was mixed by Alex Bush (Damien Jurado) at Sonikwire Studio, mastered by Greg Calbi (The National, Julien Baker, Bon Iver) at Sterling Sound and features ‘Sing For Joy’; a Cambridgeshire based community choir that requires no audition to join and promotes singing for mental health and wellbeing.

In November 2018, Luke James Williams released his debut EP Drove. The first single, 'Rabbit Hole’, received airplay on BBC6 Music, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing, whilst other cuts from the EP have been featured and played by Folk Radio UK and Hype Machine. Second single ‘Still In Bed’ received huge support from BBC6 Music DJ Tom Robinson, who chose it as his 6Music Recommends Track of 2019 so far in July. It was subsequently played across the station by Tom Ravenscroft, Lauren Laverne and Steve Lamacq. The song has also attracted a large listenership on Spotify with over 61,000 streams on the platform. Luke has received rave reviews for his engaging and emotive live performances and has supported artists such as Stu Larsen, Kirsty Merryn, Mark Chadwick (Levellers), The Little Unsaid and Megson. Luke is currently recording his debut full length album due for release in 2020. Drawing influences from the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Nick Drake and PJ Harvey, Williams paints pictures with words and sings them in his own distinctly British voice.
