The River Only Flows One Way is the third album by Liverpool songwriter Luke O’Hanlon — a career-best collection of intimate, lo-fi meditations on grief, addiction, love, memory, and identity.

Written and recorded over two years, the album features no collaborators: every instrument, every lyric, every sound is O’Hanlon’s alone. The result is raw, honest, and hauntingly beautiful — drawing inspiration from artists like John Darnielle, Phoebe Bridgers, Jeffrey Lewis, and MJ Lenderman.
