Spin Alonga is inspired by the island of "Spinalonga", near my hometown in Crete. According to Venetian documents, the name of the island originated from the Greek expression "στην Ελούντα", "stin Elounda" (meaning "to Elounda"). The Venetians could not understand the expression so they familiarized it using their own language, and called it spina "thorn" longa "long", an expression that was also maintained by the locals. The Venetians were inspired for this expression by the name of an island near Venice called by the same name and which is known today as the island of Giudecca.

Kenia is a Spanish-born DJ and event producer based in New York City, recognized for her eclectic sound that fuses house, electro, and dance music. She has released mixes for Razor-N-Tape and The Lot Radio and is now expanding into music production, incorporating her own vocals into her tracks.

She also runs Alegria Community, a music and art collective that throws events, releases music through Alegria Records, and supports artists by promoting and selling their work. Through Alegria, she shares music, builds creative spaces, and backs projects that push culture forward.
