I followed Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy on the bill.  It was her birthday, so I got on the mic to salute both her personal milestone and the festival's tenth year anniversary, but the recording didn't pick up this little speech at the beginning.  

I kicked off with 'Axel F' by Harold Faltermeyer, a tune I've heard a thousand times, but which very recently only struck me as being Balearic as f*ck.  I've been re-obsessed with it all summer long.  

The sound drops out once or twice, but that was me turning down the sound momentarily for the dancers to sing along.  

The mighty Dónal Dineen, who followed me, got on the microphone twice with words of encouragement, but you don't hear his voice on this recording.  

GRMMA to everyone who came and danced.  
Mo ghrá go deo sibh.  
It was my favourite ever set at my favourite ever festival X

Octo Octa is an artist for the heads. Maya Bouldry-Morrison's creates a finely-tuned marriage of exquisite compositional flare, meticulously-sculpted sonics, and primal dance-floor functionality. Based in Brooklyn, she's been pushing her unique sonic perspective and shimmering club-ready earworms since 2011 with releases on Running Back, 100% Silk and Argot. 

She's put together a mix for the 26th Good Room Podcast ahead of her live set at the club on February 12 saying "It's kind of funny because it's not what I DJ a lot, but it's what I listen to the most at home. I mostly DJ vocal house, probably carry a few too many Chandler records".
