Everything confuses me. Its not because I'm not smart. I get things. I GET it. But something about someone I was just so fucking attracted to the last few months basically pisses me off. I dont like not having the upper hand. I don't like not having any say or any control. And I just DONT. But thats also kind of the fun part. Hes just as psychotic as me. One night we were lying there and I asked him why he thought we had... idk like that fire between us (not to get all ellie golding on you)...and he said..."maybe its not anything...maybe we're just similar in the way we touch.".......needless to say I was mildly horrified that it was pretty simple for him to say it wasn't anything. But dammit he had a point. Continue on for the saga.....

If you're alive enough to read this- then maybe life DOESNT have unhappy endings..just unfortunate interludes.We only have one true ending to our lives-so maybe the heartbreaks, the deaths of close ones, the pain, the anger, the disappointments..maybe those are all greatness in disguise. Things used to season you to really enjoy the big payoff in your life someday. After the ending of my last relationship, I met someone for the first time who just wanted to be my friend. Perception Productions, a New York based label that ran from the late 60s through until 1974, was a strangely eclectic affair. Its roster stretched from a radical Afro-American poet through to the pop band King Harvest whose hit ‘Dancing In The Moonlight’ became a massive hit for the UK band Toploader a couple of decades later. The inbetween points covered jazz, funk, vocal harmony soul and proto-disco. In fact distilled down into this compilation the label provides us a view of Manhattan’s black music scene of the period, from the established greats to the fresh young things who would make their mark in the coming years. The two men who ran the label, President Terry Phillips and Boo Frazier burned brightly for that half a decade before almost entirely disappearing from the music scene.
