God’s people were in bondage 
No one to lead them out
Until the Lord said “Moses, please turn yourself about”
He looked toward the burning bush
Then pulled off his shoes
On holy ground Moses cried 
“Lord, I’ll follow Thee”

Over mountains high
And through the stormy sea
When I hear your voice Lord
No matter how I feel
I will lay my burdens down
And I will follow Thee

I walked along at midnight 
Tried not to shed a tear
Trouble all around me
For many, many years
But midnight now has vanished 
My troubles has to flee
When I heard my Savior say:
“Will you follow me?”
