C'est le Lundi En Musique! My incredibly amazing and excellent French aside, today's remix is the "Peppermint Palace" theme from Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. KatAM is definitely one of my favorite games on the GBA (along with Pokemon Emerald, Metroid Fusion, and Mother "THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER YOU GUYS OMIGOSH" 3), so I definitely wanted to pay tribute to a track from the game.

This remix ended up being a lot of fun to do and it's definitely fun to listen to. I didn't add TOO much to this remix: just a synth pedal tone (which is barely audible), an accompaniment to the main melody, and a little tweaking at the end of the loop. And for once, I didn't completely redo the drumline for this track. The original was actually pretty close to how I would've written it in the end.

I wanted to do a medley of all phases, but really couldn't get down to it. I managed to make the first phase tho, so might as well put it up here.
EDIT: scratch that, I'm actually working on the other phases now, but it's gonna take a while. So in the meantime I guess this works as a preview.

After hearing and drastically effecting the sample from the smash bros switch reveal, I noticed I had misheard a rhythm and also missed a key harmony hidden in the back. When writing the original I took key elements from previous smash themes, but after hearing the harmony, I think this edit could be closer to what the actual theme will sound like. Thanks again for listening!
