After his 2014 debut, Madben returns to John Digweed's Bedrock Records with another stellar record. Across the four-track record Madben delves into his plethora of playful studio sounds to bring us this inventive EP. Featuring a top-notch remix from Canadian live electronic mastermind Marc Houle.

Night Sequence features tremulating synth chords that swell across the layers of stripped back drum programming. Swung hi-hats and a deep, penetrating kick feed the pulse of this musical wonder. Blow is a straight up organ weapon. The cleverly distorted tones from the drums and grooving bass lines offer a perfect canvas for Madbens enormous organ riff. Fusing heritage sounds from across the dance spectrum, the truly original boldness of this irresistible groove will bring the dancers to the floor.

Reverie blends wonky, off-kilter synth lines with playful drum programming in a moody twist of synths and analog drum machines. A carefully built crescendo that brings us to a momentary breakdown of delayed lead lines and drones that play off one another. Marc Houle remixes Blow, into a driving tech-edged roller, primed for those must-have mid set big moments. The live performer works spiritedly with the sounds at hand and recreates the track with a true sense of intuition.

LUMI (Yaroslav) is a versatile electronic music producer with years of experience, starting his journey as a teenager making beats and exploring various genres. Today, he crafts hip-hop beats—ranging from old-school boom bap and lofi to contemporary vibes—and dives into drum and bass, future garage, ambient, and dark ambient styles, occasionally experimenting with four-on-the-floor rhythms.

Dedicated entirely to music, LUMI teaches music production at the Tramplin Pro School of Electronic Music in Moscow, offering ghost production services, custom track creation, mixing, and mastering. As a member of creative collectives RESAMPLE and OCTA MUSIC, he frequently performs live in Moscow bars using the Roland 404 and hosts weekly production streams every Wednesday. In addition, he develops sample and preset packs for Serum and Vital, enriching the creative toolbox for fellow producers.
