The journey continues for our beloved French inhouse artist, Kubebe. He returns once again to the Fauna Reve pit with "Power Plant", an EP loaded with a bunch of funk, discordant sounds and a bit of reggae vibe.

The swirl of ideas that can lodge in Kubebe's consciousness is immense, from experimental creations created with noise generators, to internal tribal chases or relaxed atmospheres.

Kubebe’s most recent collaboration is with Italian, A-Tweed, in "The Garden" EP. In the past, the Lille-born producer collaborated with Bufi on the "Bufebe" EP. Some of his productions live on labels such as Duro Label, Calypso Records, Feines Tier, Hard Fist Records.
This new sonic odyssey from Kubebe will be available and ready to add to your collection starting September 2.

«Since I was little, I’ve been immersed in the culture of the Mexican Aztecs and Mayas. So, logically, I’m attracted to magic and spells. Mixing both in my music is the perfect combination of my tastes and my roots». Seen from Europe, Iñigo Vontier’s assertion can seem puzzling, but from the point of view of a Guadalajaran DJ-producer, this blending of genres makes all sorts of sense, expressing the dreams of peoples steeped in mystique, whose rites have provided refuge and hope through generations.
As soon as the needle hits Aluxes («it’s the name of forest spirits, and it’s pronounced ‘aloo-chess’,» according to Iñigo) a channel to occult forces does seem to open up. The EP’s title track, with its sparse, unfathomable voices and its bouncing, metered rhythm, is like a spell operating its serene power over the listener.
The spirits are at time tricksters: the facetious Patito and its stubborn metallic rhythm brings back Vontier’s precious dark disco essence, which mellows out what would be more overly-serious Western electronic music: «I’m proud to help the Mexican Dance Music scene make its international mark, along with Rebolledo and others. My personal contribution, along with my role as a label head, is to bring this sound to the world. Musically speaking, that means that our productions are increasingly influenced by Latino – and sometimes Arabic – sounds, which makes them more diverse and eclectic».
Detlef Weinrich’s, a member of post-rock band Kreidler and a resident of Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs, tasks his Tolouse Low Trax side project with elevating Macaco to the temporal dimension of a fevered nightclub, with a remix that is lightyears from weekender minimal techno, and closer to Dopplereffekt. Finally, with its haunting incantations and ritualistic percussion, Temazcal brings the EPs ritual to a close. The spellbinding suite, with a musicality and an originality which is all too rare on the electronic scene, prompts the artist to muse: «perhaps dance music sometimes lacks magic, but I’m sure there’s many dancefloors where we can feel it».
Leave it to DJ, producer and occasional wizard Iñigo Vontier to make that happen.

'Night Noise returns with release number 49 and this release sees the label continuing to support new artists with the debut EP from London based `Tales Of Voodoo'.

Tales Of Voodo are a producer duo and DJ/VJ trio, who will be known to label fans following their cracking remix of 'Goin Live in Rabat' on Yarni's `Entkommen The Remixes' EP. 

Sun Cymbals & Moon Rituals is the name of the EP and features two original tracks and two remixes.

The original tracks are 80s tinged, leftfield stompers that would feel right at home on labels like `Multi Culti' or `Malka Tuti'. Remixes are from Berlin based mystic `Jose Manuel' and a return the favour remix from label mate `Yarni'.

Mt. Rave return with a fantastic single track outing for Slowciety after releasing their debut EP on the Paris-based label last year. The Mt. Rave duo, consisting of Slowciety co-founders Clint and 6tizen, turn open the taps once more. Following their dreamy account opener, they drive up the rhythm and intensity with 'Drumquest'. Cosmic dance and spatial atmospherics are at the very centre of Zakmina’s productions, as the Lithuanian producer readies an appetizing EP for Dave Harvey’s Futureboogie, backed with a remix from the always on-point Gnork.

With releases already wetting our ears on Critical Monday, XXX and Roam Recordings, Zakmina spreads his wings across three new cuts.  ‘Church Of Madness’ pumps with oodles of new beat drums and soaring synths, anchored by a fat arpeggiated bassline, whilst ‘Déjà vu’ is a first class chugger, its drums as big as 80’s shoulder pads, with glacial keys and breezy vocals comprising the seductive sensations on offer here.  

The Balearic synth-pop vibes of ‘Running Amore’ complete the trio of originals from Zakmina, whilst Gnork lays down the lino and tweaks ‘Church Of Madness’ into a solid 808 drum driven ‘Ezoteric Breakdance’ Remix.  The Hungarian producer, responsible for some killer releases on Lone’s Magicwire label, Unknown To The Unknown, as well as his own Earth Plates imprint, delivers a futuristic b-boy re-working that’s heady and exhilarating right off the bat.
