In a small gastro studio selling fermented products, a biological revolution takes place. The good bacteria stop working and no more products turn sour. Danilas, the manager of the tannery, who has spent his whole life among the bacteria, suddenly hears their voice. They are angry. Bacteria are fed up with exploitation, want equal rights, and threaten the world: "People need bacteria, and we don't need people."

The fermentation process is vital for humans, but the rights of bacteria sound absurd. Will Danilas be able to make people sympathize with another species – an alien species – and its needs? First he will have to convince two members of the tannery syndicate, Fatima and Jie, who take a much more pragmatic view of the crisis. This story is a test of empathy for humans.

After more than a year since the release of Oddness Vol. IV, we're thrilled to return with a new chapter of sonic exploration: Oddness Vol. V. This latest volume continues our mission to uncover and share rare, unconventional sounds and rarities.

The compilation features a diverse and international lineup of innovative producers: Ludviq & Radial Gaze, YemeroFoni, Specter, Petr Stancl, and Chicharron. Each artist contributes a distinct perspective, creating a rich and unpredictable journey through deep, hypnotic, and genre-bending tracks.

Ludviq & Radial Gaze – “Alpha Acid”A powerful collaboration between Barcelona-based Ludviq and Berlin-based Radial Gaze, Alpha Acid delivers a mesmerizing mix of hypnotic textures, chunky basslines, mind-bending percussion, and immersive deep vocals. A true dancefloor burner with a psychedelic edge.

Dan ChiCharron – “Zapette”
Dan ChiCharron takes us into a dreamlike twilight world where ephemeral characters appear
and disappear, disrupting the trance state just long enough to rekindle it with renewed energy. With a mechanical bassline and unpredictable breaks, Zapette paints a surreal, shifting sonic landscape—strange, entrancing, and irresistibly danceable.

YemeroFoni – “Padell”
YemeroFoni presents Padell a raw, hypnotic track that fuses distorted rock textures with the dark, jungle-inflected energy of indie dance. Gritty guitars, propulsive rhythms, and an atmospheric tension define a sound that resonates perfectly with the shadowy and rebellious identity of the label.

Specter – “Dr. Melendrez”
Dr. Melendrez is a dive into dark, mysterious territory. Specter crafts a foreboding atmosphere using organic tribal rhythms, acid sequences, and electric pulses. The result is an eerie sonic journey—a descent into the unknown, where menace and magnetism coexist.

Petr Stancl – “Special Smoke”
Built on a solid bass foundation, Special Smoke by Petr Stancl delivers a smoky, gritty mood with sampled vocals and dirty sound textures. Experimental synths and unique sound design create a track that invites repeat listens, revealing new layers with every play.

Oddness Vol. V is a statement of intent—an invitation to explore the fringes of contemporary electronic music. Expect the unexpected.

Anchored by Jason Peters’ own vocals, the song plays like a modern rave ballad, echoing the sentiment: "I remember when we used to watch the sunrise."

@neuromancer & @radondo slow things down with a lush, mid-tempo interpretation. Their remix leans into moody 80s nostalgia, infusing the track with a goth-tinged, neo-new wave aesthetic.
