GC's first reference, titled “Enter the Wild” is stuffed with elements brought together to create a mix of percussion, groove, and excitement, an after-midnight fiesta combining Anastasia Zems’s massive vocal talent with what the label’s creator, Mike Sacchetti had envisioned probably influenced by a tribal dance he saw in a movie and a long bike ride home.

Both stepped out a bit from their living room couch to deliver something fresh to the sound of Indie Dance. And as if it wasn’t confusing enough to your expectations, two special guests came to spend the evening at the remix department: the french based Moroccan rooted artist Zaatar widens the sound spectrum while spitting out cosmic dust with a slow builder re-interpretation piece of “The World’s a Dream”, ultimately to hand it over to Berlin’s established producer Radial Gaze to properly fuel the rocket with an acid energized version just tailored for the peak time enthusiasts.

“Voodooridoo” is the debut EP of the collab between Radial Gaze and Pyrame. The result of what had to happen when the two friends finally met in person earlier this year.

Indeed, over a 2 months period, the two electronic musicians quickly hit the ground and regularly caught up at Thisbe Recordings´ HQ in Berlin-Mitte where ideas kept flowing and got recorded. They blent each other´s recipes to produce unpreceded music for both of them. Pyrame´s brain-sticking melodies and basslines as well as odd organic instrumentation found in his studio meet Radial Gaze´s punchy riffs on acid, signature tribal percussions, and brain-washing arpeggiated patterns.

Out of this time in the studio emerged three original tracks. First, “Outrageous” because this is how well the two got on with each other from the first day onwards. “Voodooridoo” came next and was so packed with ideas that the two fellows had to slim down their production at that time. Such a creative process was calling for a third tune, and that one morning when Pyrame came into the studio and shouted “Boa Boa” while Radial Gaze was already working on another acid trippy pattern paved the way for their third track. Their collaborative work and enthusiasm did the rest and their first collab EP was wrapped up.

Orchid joins the EP by remixing the title track into an uptempo rework of the original.

Five years after their inaugural release, Vilnius-based imprint Good Skills line up their first extended-player ‘Chunga Chunga‘ from production duo Deserted Island, consisting of Copenhagen-based brotherhood Lukas and Matas...Today, we are pleased to premiere Fabrizio Mammarella's version of ‘Grange‘ - a space-time blackout spanning italo-disco illusions and synth-driven EBM. Taking off with a constellation of midnight bells and post-punk rhythms, followed by psyched-out arpeggios, spiralling hi-hats and bumpy basslines culminating with a synthesized apogee at the midsection.
