#Talkaboutbeirut is an artistic campaign to create awareness about the tragic events that are occurring in Lebanon, especially after the 4th of August explosion that devastated its capital, Beirut.
Naissance Musik’s founder https://soundcloud.com/hear is a Beirut born and Berlin-based artist. He and other Lebanese artists realized that there were a huge misconception and lack of understanding from the international community about the catastrophic situation in Lebanon. So, they decided to launch this awareness action with the hopes of shedding light on the ongoing situation through art, especially music!
Art travel, create connections, opens discussions, and brings people together.
#TalkAboutBeirut aims to bring this matter to consciousness through music and art. This first edition will be combining electronic music with classical Arabic culture through the traditional OUD instrument.
We invited Henrik Raabe (Wareika, Perlon) to perform a live set, through the usage of his Oud and other modular machines. Alongside Andrea Ferlin (Sleep Is Commercial) and HEAR who will be spinning records in the name of Beirut and its people.
Naissance Musik appreciates so much the support and enthusiasm of Club der Visonäre and its resident artist Andrea Ferlin for setting it up.
