Im Sommer 2015 auf Ibiza fragte Jo.Ke, der in dieser Nacht mit Feathered Sun spielte, @mommusic, ob er „How Strange“ kenne. Luis Couñago Luque, so der bürgerliche Name von MoM, griff zu den Kopfhörern und hörte sich die Nummer an: „Ich war total vom Sound der Flöten begeistert.“ Also nahm er sich der Nummer an, um einen Remix nach seinen Vorstellungen zu basteln. „Ich sprach mit meinem Freund ANuT (@soul-36), und wir begannen, mit dem Track herumzuhantieren." This EP is inspired by the cultural heritage which the Argentines and Chileans seek to perpetuate. Ulises has developed cultural and emotional bonds towards the natives, whose struggles he feels and shares. Struggles for their own traditions, their own lands and their own existence. Thanks to the resistance of cultures like the Mapuche we can now enjoy traditional melodies and instruments, such as kultrungs, charangos and quenas, that Ulises skilfully merges with an electronic timber palette to achieve the deep organic sound that we can appreciate in this EP. 
Uña pays homage to the acclaimed quena player Uña Ramos, from the mountainous Jujuy province. Pewünguen derives from a chant in Mapudungun, the Mapuche language, that celebrates the rebirth of nature in spring. Here, the artist adopts the same chant metaphorically, to wish the rebirth of the Mapuches. 
Musician by formation, Ulises plays guitar, keyboard, and drums. Such multi-instrumental skills provide him with a broad range of sounds to blend and wedge into the electronic beat. Talking about the aesthetic he craves, Ulises stated “I want to have the possibility to choose any timber from any source I feel the music needs. No limits!” …and limitless is his desire to explore the vastness of sounds, to experiment new combinations. 
Besides the original tracks, the EP comprises four gems by Carrot Green, Steffen Kirchoff, Arutani, Coss & Iorie, who remixed Ulises’ productions.

In the new edition of Uxoa Dutxa Elite the boss Di Rugerio is back presenting his new sonorous material called Aeternis in conjunction with his new musical project Realm Of Chaos, likewise including two excellent remixes by the german Rauschhaus and the spanish Th Moy.

Aeternis is a deeply melodic theme, an arpeggio arises in sequence from the beginning adding new percussive elements and synthesizers that give support to the main melody that reaches the climax in the break with great emotion and that takes us to an abstract journey of thoughts about our ephemeral existence. 

Followed by the remix of Rauschhaus, leading off with an energetic and cheerful battery where synths are quickly merged in the background and with the original melody being reinterpreted more hypnotic and spatial maintaining the feeling and emotion in the break, a great track for the dance floor. 

And finally, Th Moy give us a real musical jewel starting up in a clean way with percussions, synthesizers and with a new and powerful melody in the bass with sounds taken from the Moog then the magic arises with the main melody but with ethereal sounds, in the first break a hypnotic arpeggio emerges and together with the battery and previous melodies the spanish musician raises us to a state of ecstasy until the second break resulting a sublime reinterpretation masterpiece.

Hommage is the record label of Monkey Safari and Karl Friedrich. Founded in 2013, Hommage has been a platform for independent releases, with a focus on synergies between like-mined artists. 

The next Hommage release comes from Avidus, an up-and-coming duo from Kiel, Germany, consisting of Fritz Wagner and Marc Wolf. While Fritz was working on his own music, Marc was busy djing and throwing parties, inviting the likes of Âme, Marcus Worgull, and Roman Flügel. At some point their paths crossed and Avidus was born. Expect to hear more from this exciting and talented new act on Hommage! 

Revenge of the Whales' with its symphonic deepness reflects the mystic, melodic sounds of whale songs - that are heard for miles in the ocean. As longtime part of their energetic Live Sets Ruins' brings out the quiter, deeper Part of their EP. 

The two brothers from Halle, Monkey Safari, subjoin a mighty, propellant remix of Revenge of the Whales' that will certainly create a fire on the dancefloor. 

Marino Canal has carved his own staple sound in the techno scene through a stream of solid releases. His productions are best described as organic, hypnotic and melancholic, so is his beautiful remix of Ruins'.

Wie und wo sind die Originale entstanden?

“El Camino” ist meine Interpretation eines andalusischen Flamencos. Ich liebe den dramatischen und majestätischen Klang dieses Genres. Für mich spiegelt er die Atmosphäre der Weiten Zentralmexikos perfekt wider. Die Idee zu “Agua Azul” kam mir im Südosten Mexikos. In den früheren Maya-Gebieten gibt es Flüsse, deren Blau so intensiv ist, dass sie fast unwirklich wirken. “Agua Azul” ist ein Versuch, diese Klarheit einzufangen.
