This project is not just an album for Jorge; it's a testament to his ability, passion, and artistic vision. Power Saving Mode is the first studio album under the alias Xtasik and the third that Jorge has created from start to finish, through which he seeks to create an atmosphere that welcomes the listener's introspection, while maintaining the energy that has always characterized his music.

Power Saving Mode is deeply rooted in modern electronics, learning from artists like deadmau5 or KAS:ST; nevertheless, it is an album that also draws from influences of timeless artists like Tangerine Dream.

The album was born during a difficult stage for Jorge, during which he felt the need to completely reinvent himself to break his own loop.

Responsible for some of the best electronic music releases of the last years, be it as System Disorder or under his moniker DJ Nephil. Productions on influential labels like Sons of Traders, Phormix, KRI, Dead Channel, Clan Destine or on his own imprint called Gravitational Waves, which all played and still play an important part in our own musical background. 

As diverse as his output is, you can always recognize his own sound and style. This mix is no exception. Machines, synths, some dub and soundscape excursions, broken beats and hellish kickdrums to let this world get even more off the rails.

"Flaming Jesus Dial-up are a band consisting of Italian brothers Francesco and Marco Leoci,
already part of the post-jackin'beats duo FLML and founders of the label Alley Version.
Francesco and Marco were born in Brindisi, where began to have their first music experiences playing in a
teenage punkrock band.
They moved to Bologna, where currently live, to complete studies in fine arts, at the same time they involved
in experimental projects of sound art and multimedia.
The FJD project took shape in 2023 while Francesco and Marco had fun experimenting in their studio
with modified guitars, analog synthesizers and drum machine.
The tracks resulting from these sessions, incorporating an erratic, loose and transgressive aesthetic,
consist of noisy hallucinatory soundscapes, often coupled with slow infectious rhythms and gloomy
soundtrack-style motifs."

Minimal wave legend Das Ding is back on Electronic Emergencies after 10 years with a stunning selection of archival tracks from retrieved tape recordings. In the early eighties, Danny Bosten got together with his friends after school in his bedroom studio, somewhere in the bleak Dutch countryside. They experimented with cheap analogue gear and made music to kill time. The sound is raunchy and slightly experimental, but already unmistakable Das Ding. New wave, early EBM and proto techno are found this album, pressed on clear vinyl. To preserve the original atmosphere and sound, the tapes received the Ruud Lekx treatment.

As we approach the threshold leading us back to the Black Lodge on our transformative 8th journey, we are escorted through and beyond the mystical portal by the vigorous and fierce forces of Sneaker. Portrait in House is a collection of 3 resonant works, which are unified into a singular vision within its uncanny language that is rooted deeply in the foundations of Jak, New Beat, EBM, and Wave. Existing inside the liminal spaces of where light meets dark, we are presented with a documentation of dissonance and harmony. 

We begin our voyage with Jihad, a sluggish and slogging piece that unforgivingly drags us through the grime and the dirt in a ritualistic fashion that would have the ghost of Georges Bataille dancing in circles. Voices call out and howl into the dark as the drum patterns of the 707 rhythmically grasps onto its anarchic components. In the dark, we can see the light beyond the known universe. In the words of Sneaker “The name is not our message, but a document of an evident, traditional concept in (y)our world.”

As we find ourselves sprawled out on the ground following the 1st sonic stanza, a menacing voice bellows and warns that this is a Sax Track. Referencing Chicago icon Lil Louis, this work juxtaposes classical elements of house music together with the bare knuckled spirit of Jak. A magical spell led by disharmonious Portasound FM keys in conversation with a teetering sub bass, where at its core, this plus this, equals something that is uniquely familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. A number fit for any uncanny ritual that will fall under the night sky. 

Bringing our cosmic procession to a close we pick up the pace with a commanding number titled, Dance On, a no holds barred work that will possess your soul in the name of Jak. Flangers wail unforgivingly alongside a pulsating 101, as samples of the human voice are chopped up and arranged into a conversation that hypnotically calls for our bodies to be transformed into soft machines, while powered by ceremonious motions that are generated from the liberating process of ritual movement. We command you to dance!

"Wessel Janssen, better known as The Spy, is a Dutch electronic music artist who has carved a distinctive niche in the underground music scene. Based in Amsterdam, Janssen’s journey into music began in his youth when it provided solace during challenging times. However, it wasn’t until 2015 that he began to explore music seriously, purchasing his first Roland MC-303 synthesizer and venturing into the world of functional techno. Janssen’s early works were marked by a deep appreciation for how music could unite people and offer an escape from life’s struggles. This connection to music has driven him to continually evolve his sound, and in recent years, he has adopted the moniker “The Spy”. Under this name, he has shifted towards a more experimental and evocative style, blending boot-stomping techno with cybernetic grooves, jittery IDM, and sinister electro. His music is the perfect soundtrack for dark, pounding basements where time seems to stand still, drawing listeners into a world of ominous electronics.
