For the 12th vinyl release Wicked Bass welcomes Galdoors co-owner Junes, who gives us the light again on his current music tastes through three rhythm driven, UK infected tracks made for the tight, sweaty dancefloor.

The French tastemakers over at Delicieuse Musique have been busy compiling their first in a series of VA releases. Liquors No.1, a smorgasbord of deep club tracks is due to hit the shelves in mid February and will be also available on vinyl.

We’ve got the exclusive on Jesper Ryom’s contribution ‘Pacer’. Throughout its seven minute duration, it morphs into a beautiful sunrise track, comprised of piano melodies and an undulating bass riff. If there’s one track that you listen to today, make it this.

Let us paint you a picture: Golden sand and shining blue water a few meters from you and your better half. A dolphin jumps out of the waves and tanned bodies get out to dry under the burning sun. A warm wind helps the process and makes the palm trees gently move. You got the idea? If you find yourself fortunate enough to be in this kind of context, it's your lucky day because we've got the perfect soundtrack. If on the contrary you are still at work or stuck in the city then cheer up! By the end of this article you'll be halfway there...

Cosmic Rhythm are back once again with one of their best releases to date and what better moment than now to unveil it. Rhythm of Paradise transports us to a beautiful soundscape reminding us very much of Italy's house music golden age with"Universe of Love", his latest instalment for the ever-growing label. Lending its title to the EP, the A-side opener takes us into the groove with smooth pads and soft moaning and giggling, slowly building up with a groovy bassline and great flute parts, some organ action towards the middle of the track and 909 drum patterns. Great little set opener.

"Mellow", the second track of the A-side is the one we are premiering today. Featuring a looping bassline and a vibe to die for, it's probably the track you'll hear the most at after-parties this year. The piano riff is here to add some action to the track but then the pad settles it down to the more moody side of 90s deep house. We can't wait to hear it during a beautiful sunrise after a long night...

Flip to the other side and be welcomed by "Mystical Ambience", the fastest of the bunch. Featuring roughly the same elements as the aforementioned tracks but with more synth action and a speedy tempo. It's the more club-friendly track of the bunch. Last but not least is "Essence". The Italian producer infuses some italo-disco goodness into this one, especially the bassline, and transports us to the end of the dance session with a very loopy four-to-the-floor joint.

PREMIERE : Rhythm of Paradise - Mellow

First of the year on Butter Sessions sees label heads Sleep D return with their first solo EP since 2017. Two unclassifiable, deep and euphoric bangers come out of the woods with elements of techno, idm and bass music.

Opening up the record we have 'U+Zone' a sweet and heart warming electro-cosmic force that takes inspiration from the deep ocean and the stark, spacious landscape of outback Australia.

Emerging on the flip, 'Centro' turns the mood to the darker side with it's eerie chords and choir harmonies, held together with a monstrous drum and bass rytm designed for the freaks and geeks out there.

Pressed at 45rpm for extra fatness.

As Fabio Della Torre, Corcos last solo release on his much-respected Bosconi label came out in 2012. Almost seven years later, Della Torre reprises the alias here, returning to his home label in stunning fashion courtesy of the sumptuous, brilliant and always innovative sounds of Bosco042.
We kick off with ‘What’s the Case’, a hypnotic, minimal wiggler that maintains a strong after-hours vibe throughout the course of its 7-and-a-half minutes. A trippy voyage into the producer’s more restrained and foreboding side, it’s a slick, sleek excursion that’s full of multiple twists and turns throughout. Weird but most definitely wonderful, it’s sure to go down a treat with discerning DJs especially, with its swinging groove sure to prove a particular treat.
The B side then kicks off via ‘Down on Time’, an unrelenting, jacking cut that’s indicative of the early work of minimal techno pioneer, Robert Hood. A jacking, booty-shaking jam that features more than its fair share of oldschool vibes, this track is indicative of a side that the producer rarely showcases — but one that he’s evidently more than capable of showcasing. Rough, ready and most definitely effective, it features the Bosconi owner at his up-tempo best.
‘Monster Knight’ culminates the EP courtesy of an uplifting, electro-inspired jam that’s catchy and banging throughout. Notable for its elastic baseline and flashy, rhythmic elements, it brilliantly closes a fantastically eclectic EP that demonstrates three sides of the producer’s sound in some fashion.
