Kulture Galerie started as a mix series from London-based duo Metropolitan Soul Museum. Show's concept is to invite guest artists to play home listening music sharing a variety of influences, cultures, and different dichotomies with the same form of expression. The various artists releases that will follow each year, will include 6 original tracks from the 6 artists involved in the shows.

« Kulture Galerie Year 1 » includes 6 tracks from the first guests of the series: HRZL (Herzel, from Hivern Discs, Uncanny Valley), Deeprhythms, Aspetuck, Adam Stromstedt, K-Dallas under his Exo Ghost moniker and finally an original track from Metropolitan Soul Museum.

Canadian label Breathing Room Records is back with their third digital release after a lengthy pandemic-related hiatus. A little over two years after their previous outing, they are happy to introduce Tropica, a duo from Newcastle, UK. Forest Floor is their debut EP and it includes three original tracks as well as a remix from Toronto-based producer and DJ, Ciel. This is the first remix in Breathing Room’s catalogue.

All three originals are slow and chuggy. Monstera Deliciosa, the opening track, is driven by warm chords and a wobbly synth line while a siren-esque pad weaves in and out. Birds of Paradise continues on a similar wavelength but dives a little further into acid territory with its lead and stays true to its name with different birds contributing to the overall ambience. Devil’s Ivy is a little darker in tone with it’s delayed pads, a didgeridoo and haunting scream-like samples permeating throughout. Ciel’s take on Monstera Deliciosa stays true to the original but introduces a juxtaposing, almost playful lead and tougher percussion, giving the track a faster, bouncier feel.

GLXY Recs returns with a wild bunch of artists, the first installment of this 2-part compilation is a transcontinental selection, taking you from South America to Middle East, uncovering gems in transit.

Prins Pasensi for instance, as his name suggests (pasensi, which means patience in Surinamese), you would expect a runway before take off. But nothing could be further from the truth. Expect a deep dive into native electronics with ‘Wawan’.
Black Cadmium never shuns a solid crossover. ‘Sen Turk Musun’ is the cement between gnarly 303 squelches and a Turkish ode to love.
Mo Wrights is a relatively new producer with an old soul, his debut track got released on the ‘Super Sonic Family’ comp series.
‘Elevation’ is proof of his musical range, playfulness and dedication.
EDMZ, the man is nothing more than an evergreen himself. After a lengthy run he’s experienced a lot of shifts in electronic music but he’s still set on pulling you back into those deep and dark moments with ‘Body Load’.
Photonz, a household name who is an elementary part Portuguese electronica and beyond. His track ‘Oblivion’ will send you on a wild goose chase only to leave you empty handed, yearning for more.
Last but not least, let’s head back to Brooklyn for Ryan Clover. It’s a pleasure to have him over after a string of high-profile releases.
‘I Know Y’all Hear me’ is the epitome of dance floor energy. A pure jump starter that will set the dance floor ablaze.
