Lunar Testing Lab - Fly The Beam

Hello, my name is Gilbert Finkel.
I also like to eat a winkle
when I trundle to the pier,
or a lollipop or candyfloss
by night light in Trafalgar Square.
I’m not worried about an upper hand
when ambling down the Strand;
all I ask is a glass of water
and a lovely oompah band. 

But Piccadilly in the morning gloom
always seems so strange,
so then I hasten back to utter Slough
where all the dogs have mange.
Just a boiling kettle serves my needs;
it’s always tea time in this flange.

My head is always buzzing;
there’s a tune round every bend
and when I click on this small button,
the voice before me whispers,
and what it wants I send!

Yes this is a sort of miracle.
Yes it’s pale and  deep.
No it’s not an atonal trickle.
Now lettuce get some sleep.
