Saint Jean, une fresque musicale
Saint Jean – Une fresque musicale est une œuvre chorale en 12 chansons qui retrace la vie et le message de Jean l’Apôtre, le disciple bien-aimé de Jésus.
De son appel au bord du lac de Galilée à son testament d’amour à Éphèse, l’album explore toutes les étapes de sa vie :
* le jeune pêcheur fougueux, surnommé « fils du tonnerre »,
* le témoin intime de Jésus à la Cène et au pied de la croix,
* le gardien de Marie, devenu son fils spirituel,
* le pilier de l’Église naissante à Jérusalem,
* l’exilé de Patmos qui reçoit les visions de l’Apocalypse,
* et enfin, le vieillard sage qui répète inlassablement : 👉 « Mes petits enfants, aimez-vous les uns les autres, car Dieu est amour. »
La particularité de cette fresque est dans les voix qui se répondent :
* les enfants, qui symbolisent la pureté et l’innocence,
* les femmes, qui portent la tendresse, la douleur et la douceur maternelle,
* les hommes, qui incarnent la force, la fougue et le témoignage,
* et enfin le chœur complet, qui réunit toute l’humanité dans un hymne universel.
Musicalement, l’album passe du dramatique (la croix, Patmos) au lumineux (le tombeau vide, Dieu est amour), du tonnerre des foules à la tendresse d’une berceuse spirituelle. C’est un voyage de l’ombre vers la lumière, une fresque de paix et d’amour.

"Cropped Out Lines" is a draft I wrote in a quiet moment, where the world felt both vivid and empty. It’s about absence, about noticing the details when someone is gone, and about trying to find the light again. This is a work in progress, but I wanted to share it as it is, raw, unpolished, and honest.

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu ~ A Sanskrit prayer ~

Prayers for peace and remembrance that we're all connected through our blood & hearts. Just after a beautiful and peaceful water birth at home I experienced a complication and bled to death, visiting the celestial realm a couple of times. However, after I was resuscitated by electricity at the emergency room, I had one of the most profound experiences in my life. I had a revelation.

I had to lay in a hospital bed for 2 days receiving 5 units of blood. Our bodies only hold 6. My blood type is rare, RH Negative, and many blood banks and hospitals were called to rally enough blood for my refill. It was a lesson of patience and trust, to say the least. And it was a lesson of so much more, I'm not sure if my mere words can express it.

As I lay there nursing and feeding my beautiful new daughter and receiving blood I realized that we're all filled with exactly the same thing. LOVE. The blood was a mixed bag, to say the least. I had no idea what race, religion, sex, or physical appearance any of the beautiful donors were. All I could feel was waves of LOVE pouring into every cell and every part of me. I was reborn and I believe that we can all feel the oceans and waves of love that transcend all time and space, connecting us with a bond that cannot be broken by confusion, suffering, or pain.

May we pray for everyone in the world, every part of the world, each and every soul that we may remember our connection and come back to our hearts that beat with a humble reverence, a beat and vibration that resounds within all beings. May the beat awaken us all to our true purpose, waking us up to our innermost knowing of our dharma, our divine mission, why we've come.

May we pray for those who have forgotten, who are confused, who most need the Love and Light that shines from our hearts. Your heart. Your families hearts. Your enemies hearts. Your neighbors heart. Your teachers hearts. Our hearts. May our prayers illuminate the light that shineth within all beings, great and small.

This year's World Peace Day (Sept 21) marks the five year anniversary of the passing of beloved A Sound Life co-founder, Jo Mall-Kahn (VAANI). This year Jo's solo Vaani album will be released.

This beautiful song Bus Stand is one of the songs from the VAANI album. It is about the longing we feel in our hearts to connect deeply with our soul. On the spiritual path, we yearn to drink from the springs of the pure love within. Once we have tasted this divine nectar we feel connected to the oneness, peace and bliss that is the essence of this universe. However, the pangs of separation after tasting the sweetness can seem  even more painful than before! This song is about the longing to merge into the sea of oneness. The ocean of love. Many of Jo's songs reflect this yearning to melt and merge into nature. She blessed our world with her song, spirit and humanitarian service and fulfilled her deepest yearning to return to the infinite source.

We love to sing and to play music. A few years ago we came to know the beautiful heart and healing mantras. Now we come together to create a space of sounds, mindfulness and openness. 
Everytime we’re very touched when opening the space of sounds and always there is an entirely different energy, voices and topics. It’s interesting  what singing and cacao can bring about.
