Redefining what it means to be a deep house producer and musician, Thulane has proven too many that he has the capability of being one of greatest house music producers to ever come from the shores of South Africa "Katlehong". He has produced a number of tracks with soulful, deep, deeptech, techno and afro house melodies which caught the ears of the house nation and community which made them take note of his production and style in the house music scene.

2010 he started releasing his music on AfrodesiaMp3 and started working with people such as Dj Ladi, Adiosoul from Vosloorus, Dj Sphiwe from Majestik Music, Serame Sediti,Mpumi Mpumesh, Mercy and King Bizza Keys from Giant Step Grooves, then in the very same year (2010) he started Deejaying, growing from strength to strength and is now the master of his craft and very soon he left deejaying and decided to only produce House Music and got his music licensed under labels such House Afrika.

2015 he joined the game changing movement called "The Godfathers Of Deep House SA" Co-founded by Masia The Godfather, where he worked with artists/producers/dj's such as Afrika Brothers, TeeR The Vocalist, Ed-Ward, KingTouch, Gary Cooper SA, Dee Cee, Kekstar, Cornelius SA, Wolta, Chronical Deep, Ceez Da Geek, Rodney, Amen Deep T, Lelo Dee, Dj Bakstina, Poizen (House Victimz), Kevin (Godson), TimADeep, De Monuth, Fera, Beebar, Que Da Floor and Dj Clarydanone.

As a producer he has mastered the art of uttering words with just instruments and sound. He has released numerous tracks on Traxsource, iTunes and other digital download sites/stores. Not only does he produce “House Music” but he is also the Founder,A&R and Music Compiler at his own Label called DEEP RESOLUTE (PTY) Ltd,

In 2013, DJ13SA became a mentor for the 'CAGC Youth Development Program' (CAGCYDP), where he organized youth workshops, career expos, school visits, and bursary programs, empowering and preparing young individuals for their future endeavors. His dedication to mentorship continued in 2011 when he joined the 'Fuse Academy,' led by DJ Zinhle and Nomndeni Mdakhi, as a lecturer, focusing on educating aspiring female DJs.

Broadcasting Career:

DJ13SA's broadcasting journey commenced in 2011 at "VOW FM," initially as a technical producer and later transitioning to a show producer role in 2013. His contributions were pivotal in revitalizing the campus radio's presence, especially after it regained its broadcasting license. From late 2013 to 2017, at "Jacaranda FM," he progressed from a Junior Imaging Producer to a full-time drive show producer for Martin Bester, demonstrating his creativity and commitment to delivering high-quality radio content.

Television Career and Gospel Unplugged:

In 2018, DJ13SA's career took an exciting turn as he became part of the "Gospel Unplugged" TV program on "SABC 1." His role as a seasoned resident gospel house DJ in the first season led to the show's remarkable success, marked by the attainment of a prestigious "Crown Gospel Award." In the second season (2020), DJ13SA continued as the DJ and co-host, further solidifying his influence in the gospel music scene.

Expanding Influence and Industry Recognition:

DJ13SA expanded his influence by venturing into various channels and broadcasters, including DSTV's "One Gospel." He hosted feature programs, made guest appearances on music inserts, and participated in TV programs, establishing himself as a versatile media personality. Throughout his career, DJ13SA received numerous nominations at the "Liberty Radio Awards" (formerly MTN Radio Awards), winning his first 'Radio Award' in 2013 for his dedication to teaching a blind student to independently operate a broadcast studio while tutoring at the 'Wits Radio Academy.'

Guided by industry veterans like Vusi Leeuw and Leroy Khoza, he added substantial value to independent South African record labels and music-led PR companies. Clive’s music career started in 1994 with his involvement in his High School events in the East Rand township, Vosloorus. This was highly inspired by his collection of mix-tapes which included the greats like Ganyani, Tokzen and Bob Mabena’s drive time show that played on Radio Bop. His musical taste at the time covered a wide range of styles: Hip Hop (Krs One, Keith Murray, De la Soul…), Funk (Ashford and Simpsons, Kool and the Gang, Diana Ross…) and more specifically House music.This led him to a career in the South African Music Production and DJ Industries in which he has been a recognized player for over 20 years. 

In 1999 He Joined Suga Trax ( a vinyl and dj’s accessory store), which was renamed Soulcandi 
Records. Clive has for years conceptualized and Coordinated his own events. He has been 
commissioned by Levi®’s to compile a     series of South African Afro/Deep House music, for stores all over South Africa. As part of Soulcandi’s current  A&R team, Clive is a Compiler for International and National Dance Music Compilation Cd’s. Clive now also combines his career as a professional Dj with teaching. 

Clive is currently the Head Dj Lecturer at the Boston City Campus(Soulcandi Institute of Music), in Johannesburg. He has been, to date, employed by Soulcandi Music Group for the past 18 years.
