Disquiet Junto Project 0671: In the Air Tonight
The Assignment: Make an atmosphere of your own.

Step 1: Rather than record music, in the traditional sense, you are going to spend time assembling a sonic environment, what might be thought of as an atmosphere. Think about what that might entail. Please begin this process with the understanding that you will create the atmosphere from scratch, which is to say: not using field recordings of existing environments.

Step 2: Think about the sort of atmosphere you want to make. It might help to experiment by first making some quick rough drafts, in order to see what sorts of atmospheres your skills and equipment lend themselves to.

Step 3: Now record the atmosphere you decided upon in Step 2, adhering to the directions mentioned in Step 1.

A spoken song composed whilst travelling along the coastline of Papua New Guinea from Port Moresby to Sepik River via Rabual. How 19th century London and bordellos appeared as a source for this song in that setting  I'll never know. Kudos to Aidene  (https://soundcloud.com/aidenearia) and Remi for magnificent understanding and patience. Their musical skills are exemplary.

Huomenna me bailaamme! Etkoilua ja yleistä psykefiilistelyä varten kehitimme uuden sarjan, Fiktiopsy, jossa seikkaillaan psykedeelisissä tunnelmissa Fiktion deejiiden sekä vierailijoiden kanssa! Ensimmäisen osan on tehnyt meidän oma Marumiini, joka aiemmasta poiketen tarjoilee darkkia soundia.

Omien sanojensa mukaan Marumiini lähti tutkimusmatkalle psytrancen nopeampien alagenrejen syövereihin ja eksyi darkpsyn mustaakin mustempien bassolinjojen ja psykedeelisten sointukiemuroiden synkkään syleilyyn. Matkasta syntyi kokonaisuus hypnoottisen melodisen ja välillä jopa pelottavan intensiivisen menon välillä seikkailevia rytmejä, jotka hypnotisoivat kuulijansa tummaan transsiin - Marumiinin tyyliin 😼
