How to Download Reaktor Factory Selection (REAKTOR)

A really fun track to write, and hopefully to listen to.  The vocal samples from loopcloud definitely moving it into a particular direction.

the original few bars that this is based on are a bit out of time.  which you can hear right at the beginning.  funny though, when made more in time, it lost some character.  though i suspect thats just because it was different to what I was now used to hearing!

I reckon this could benefit from a remix or two.  HMU if you're interested in doing so.

Just A Feeling

I have a song called last days from c2007 (not here on soundcloud) - this file of 32 bars said 'last days again'.  yet seems to bear so resemblance to the OG.

this one has lurched back and forth with a number of aborted attempts to turn it into something worthwhile over the last couple of years.  Typically, I got it working ok - just when I had loads of real work on.  so it took a few weeks off and on to bed it in and nail it down.
I was tempted to go off-piste at the end, to create a new direction - as I'm often prone to do.  However, I kept restraint, just having 8 bars of ALT song possibilities poking through before resolving to the last chorus and the end.  

just before mastering, I went into the files of the 2007 song, picking out the spoken word samples of 'last', 'days', 'again' and 'run'.  slotted in here to make that connection that was probably never intended in the first place!

Some interesting samples in here and quite a lot of experimentation with NI Reaktor.  But all set to a dub groove that pulls the track along.
