A valued philosophy in music determines an artist’s staying power within the industry. By nurturing his industry relationships, Chris “Lungz” Hicks has produced centered sounds that go beyond the contemporary genres of today’s music, this will solidify his presence in music.

With roots tracking back to the gritty streets of the North Side of Chicago, Lungz was inspired to become a lyricist during a Jay Z concert. This led to him free-styling around Chicago and building an underground following. His first musical performance was simply Lungz and the microphone – no lyrics and no rehearsals, just his talent. After building his following, he was introduced to song-writer Don Primo, who taught him the process of making music. After releasing several quality projects, Lungz took a hiatus from music, to grow his industry connections, build a better foundation within the industry, and focus on his sound.

After making his return to music, Lungz signed to TMS Music Group with a clear purpose as an artist and more importantly, his career. His recent project, Dream Killaz, produced by top-notch producers and major DJ Don Cannon and the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, who have the attention of Hip Hop fans everywhere. Lungz is gearing up to release his new release on TMS titled Inebriation within the coming weeks on September 23rd. Lungz’s dream of creating music that’s relatable is now a reality, and now his fans can sit back and enjoy his vision.
