Well maybe it sounds strange, but never the less, and all the same. 
I’m a downtown, I’m a downtown clown.

You might see me sneakin’ in the dark, in an alley or industrial park.
You’ll be wonderin’, what I’m up to now.

Well don’t you worry, don’t you fret, don’t get yourself into no kinda snit.
I’m just a down, down, just a downtown clown.

My nose is bulbous and red, and it’s off in a dumpster is my bed.
An’ I wear great big banana, banana yellow pants.     Yeah

An’ I slither and I sneak, I find windows into which I can peak.
Peakin’ into bars and shops and holes in the ground. 

But don’t you strain, don’t you pout, don’t get your nose all bent out .... of shape.
