This week's RIPEcast is from Space Cowboy's own DJ Deckard. Here's what he has to say for himself:

"Breakfast of Champions is consistently my favorite party of the year both to DJ and attend. I opened the outdoor main stage at 9am this year and for all intents and purposes got to play the sunrise set I had been desiring to play but never got the chance at Burning Man earlier in the year. I took it as an opportunity and honor to be able to set the tone for the morning and get the party off on the right foot. I loved getting to play more of a house oriented set with vocals and a block party feel towards the end of the set. I had a blast playing and hope it shows through in the set."

Bio:
Deckard began DJing in Seattle in 2000 and soon began playing gigs up and down the west coast. Upon moving to San Francisco in 2005 he fell in love with the electronic music scene which is so unique to the Bay Area. You can find him spinning at San Francisco institutions such as Mighty, Shine, Supper Club, Wish and the End Up. Deckard capped off a successful 2009 by joining up with the Space Cowboys Burning Man camp. Depending on the crowd, venue and time of day you might find him spinning downtempo lounge, funky big beat, tech house, electro or breaks.

Evening, Wednesday, Black Rock City 2014. Led by Paavo and Tony of Above and Beyond, bathing in the lavender sunset, we practiced an hour of yoga with Elena Brower. We gathered, strengthened, listened and received the gift of quiet. We landed at home in our own hearts. This class reminds us that we are never alone, and that no matter where we are, we are on the path, and right at home.

Hamburg electronic music duo with Syrian roots Shkoon delivers Underyourskin Records‘ next EP ‘Letters‘ - a musical clash of diverse folk and traditional influences fusing together with a downtempo house vibe. The dreamy ‘Ala Moj Al Bahr‘ plays with the symbiosis between oriental vocals and a desert like desolating sound construct that finds its peak in a melodic discrete synth oriented part that lets you feel the occident. JAVID‘s remix puts more emphasize on the folk elements of the original limiting the vocals to a minimum yet being so on point that the yearning for more is inevitable.

We like to think we'll see it coming, that we can plan ahead and prepare, but when in life things are never that easy. Sometimes the small and unexpected slips through our carefully constructed security defenses, and things get a little tough.  But through these obstacles and pain, we eventually push through.  LP49 was recorded live at a Califari event in Santa Monica, CA and features tracks by Darius Syrossian, Solomun, Juliet Sikora, Japanese Breakfast, Joeski, Cioz, and Thyladomid.

Lushpod #49 - Sometimes the Going Gets a Little Tough

The 50th episode of the Lushpod marks the beginning of a new decade and new tools.  This Lushpod was recorded on a new Pioneer mixer, and is intended to be heard in full stereo.  At almost 208 minutes long, this mix is the second longest Lushpod.  Thank you for all the listens and support, as I look forward to continuing this labor of love. To realize slowly what this means finally released all emotions and I cried badly after... 
BUT to see how many of you were watching us live and supporting us, from cats to kids, from North to South and East to West all over the world all together in this very moment 💫❤️🙏 
This left me speechless and it’s still pretty overwhelming to watch your stories and read all those lovely comments and messages! 
Thank you guys! This was amazing! This felt like being part of music history and to share that is so important

Yacht music has always been one of my favorites, although I never owned a yacht, but one can dream.
