Follow the White Rabbit was recorded live on Nov. 2, 2013 at a Venice Halloween Party.  Hundreds people packed the party, the creeps were out in full force, and the cops were called twice. "Breakfast of Champions is consistently my favorite party of the year both to DJ and attend. I opened the outdoor main stage at 9am this year and for all intents and purposes got to play the sunrise set I had been desiring to play but never got the chance at Burning Man earlier in the year. I took it as an opportunity and honor to be able to set the tone for the morning and get the party off on the right foot. I loved getting to play more of a house oriented set with vocals and a block party feel towards the end of the set. I had a blast playing and hope it shows through in the set."

Bio:
Deckard began DJing in Seattle in 2000 and soon began playing gigs up and down the west coast. Upon moving to San Francisco in 2005 he fell in love with the electronic music scene which is so unique to the Bay Area. You can find him spinning at San Francisco institutions such as Mighty, Shine, Supper Club, Wish and the End Up. Deckard capped off a successful 2009 by joining up with the Space Cowboys Burning Man camp. Depending on the crowd, venue and time of day you might find him spinning downtempo lounge, funky big beat, tech house, electro or breaks.

Before You Leave was recorded live at the Ashram Galactica Fundraiser at the Golden Box in Hollywood.  The set is dedicated to an amazing friend, Gina, who will be moving to Portland.  We will miss you Gina. Before You Leave features tracks from Justin Jay, Claude Vonstroke, Super Flu, Lonely Boy, Hot Since '82, and Catz N Dogz.

I had the pleasure of playing to the always beautiful sunsets on Koh Lanta, an island in Thailand at the Pangea Beach Bar. This was a great opportunity to put together a set of a lot of the chiller tracks I've been collecting over the last year or so.

This 2h30m set is a journey with the sun, starting off chill and, after the sun sets and the lights come on, a little bit more of a dance vibe with many throwbacks.

Thanks to Alex and @pangea-beach-bar-ko-lanta for having me play. If you're in Koh Lanta, check them ot for sunsets and for their Tuesday night parties where they bring in DJs from all over the world for a night of tech house and dancing.

PERFECT COMPANY

Dear Listeners, 
It’s been overwhelming how many of you have written and asked for this year’s Fusion set.  One person even counted the weight of the tears he had shed every time he came here, and found the set was not online yet. So why did it take so long? 
 
It was a very intense four hour set at the Palapa, and it was a very intense week before that. To go back and revisit those moments required quite a bit of strength, which I didn’t have until now. Obviously the intensity of revisiting those moments at the Palapa had a lot to do with the death of our dear friend Bas Engels. 
You might think that I'm loco for saying this, but I know Bas was there with us, celebrating life and death, guiding me through the set and even creating some magic, when my computer froze and I had to restart it, while improvising on a drum machine. Normally the recording would be lost then, but this time it was just there as if nothing had happened. Without him you wouldn’t be able to listen to this now. 
I want to thank Bas for the special magic he created on so many occasions.  Also I want to thank Eule and his team for their foresight and faith to pull me slightly out of my comfort zone, and into this perfect Sunday morning setting. And, of course, I also want to thank all of you, because 
music sounds better with you.

We like to think we'll see it coming, that we can plan ahead and prepare, but when in life things are never that easy. Sometimes the small and unexpected slips through our carefully constructed security defenses, and things get a little tough.  But through these obstacles and pain, we eventually push through.  LP49 was recorded live at a Califari event in Santa Monica, CA and features tracks by Darius Syrossian, Solomun, Juliet Sikora, Japanese Breakfast, Joeski, Cioz, and Thyladomid.

Lushpod #49 - Sometimes the Going Gets a Little Tough

The 50th episode of the Lushpod marks the beginning of a new decade and new tools.  This Lushpod was recorded on a new Pioneer mixer, and is intended to be heard in full stereo.  At almost 208 minutes long, this mix is the second longest Lushpod.  Thank you for all the listens and support, as I look forward to continuing this labor of love.
