A Case Of You (Joni Mitchell Cover)

Recently, after posting some songs inspired by a re-read of Homer´s Odyssey, I threw a question at a favourite composer of mine. On SoundCloud you can listen to his exceptional work on:

I asked Jeff, could he suggest a theme to weave some new music around? His immediate reply was: ”War And Peace”. That idea went straight to my heart. (Well I tweaked it a bit...)

So, here goes: a four-part suite (sort of) named ”Of War And Pieces” is planned to be published here – say, one part a week.

The first two ”pieces” are remixed and remastered versions of what I was doing in 2024, updated to 2026.

You were in my dream and while awaking I tried to hold on but the memories vanished in the fading light 💚

Dream

Dear friends, there have been many natural disasters in recent years. Many scientists believe that this is due to climate change caused by large emissions of greenhouse gases. However, many big so-called climate deniers do not believe the scientists! Who should we trust?



Wild River

The river is beautiful
when it streams through the meadows and the fields
and wonderful flowers and greenery enjoy
the magnificent growing conditions
when nature is peaceful - and doesn’t start to freak out
in Portugal and Spain 
when it turns to a wild - terrifying phenomenon 

The cause of these floods might be
that the sun heats the oceans around
and heavy rain clouds are created in the sky
and they are sailing into countries nearby
and the people are suffering from drowning and pain
and they loose their friends 
the river has turned wild - it is not kind anymore

It is not just the rain in Spain
there are many other countries in the world
which are suffering from floods and with lots of casualties    
one may wonder what causes there are
is it oil or is it natural climate changes these days
the debate is heating up
the river has turned wild - it is not so kind anymore
