Some might remember The Planty Herbs from his earlier 7” outing on RNT, and now the dynamic Dutchman brings his dusty vibes to a 4-track EP of crafty edit selections. “Famyly” kicks of the pack with a bouncy funk groove, followed by “Errybodydisco,” a low-slung house party affair. On the flip we have the flute solo and sample-heavy Soundstream-esque stomper “Today,” while “What’s Inside” takes us back to the soul side with a boom-bappity cover of a 70s R&B classic.

Editorial's new sublabel Clandestine Boogie are back with another fresh and funky release just in time for summer 2018. Following up two outstanding releases, CLB 003 promises not to disappoint as they invite disco smooth-man Sunner Soul along for the next 12” with a 4-track EP entitled "Voyager 84". Along with him comes a mix from Kim & Buran of his Voyager 84 track and collab across two tracks with Russian producer, Scruscru. Sunner Soul now spends his days making music in Saint Petersburg, however is always paying homage to his deeply embedded German roots.

Sunner’s label releases are quite impressive; with releases on Midnight Riot, Editorial and DiscoDat, his talents are obvious to many in the sounds of everything disco, deep & soulful. 2009 saw him start on his own adventure with Vintage Music Records and quickly gained a reputation for the high quality of music, much like Editorial and Clandestine Boogie.

CLB003 is the treat you have been waiting for; four perfectly cut disco anthems each with a special uniqueness of their own. Opening up with the inspiration behind the EP name Voyager 84, accompanied by a Kim & Buran mix on the A2. With the B-side featuring both collaboration tracks, with our delightful smooth premiere ‘Spring Mood’ driving up the energy of the EP. A journey of fat guitars, wonky synths and funky rhythm booting basslines the perfect mix up of house and sensual disco, a sure festival favourite. This is most definitely a record making its way into our bag and should yours too, available from 30th July.

I'm excited to premiere a spectacular edit off the b-side of Cauldron's very first cassette tape release. The Funk District, owner of budding label Mandrill Cuts, delivers a funky fine edit whose name, "Mesmerized", does the production healthy justice. With a light hand he brings fresh dance-floor appeal to the astounding classic. It's got strings, killer bass-lines, and ageless disco vocals that make it very clear why we're here. Its time to groove.

After this summer’s release of their acclaimed debut album ‘Life Of Gu’, Mallorcan trio Round Shaped Triangles look across the borders and invite 2 fellow Europeans to rework their opening track ‘Better Apart’.

First up is Art Of Tones, and is premiered here on SlothBoogie. The Frenchman - no stranger to anyone with a penchant for particularly tasty tunes - funks things up a notch with decisive disco flair and the addition of some goddamn-groovy guitar play.

On the flip is Holland’s hope Cleanfield who gives the original a more club-oriented twist, stepping up the BPM and introducing some driving percussion while he’s at it.

Amplified is back with the excellent Disco In Distress Pt, as always highly limited first pressing so don't sleep on this one! This release is displaying some of the finest deep disco and house around. The first track on this EP 'Yellow' is nothing but wondrous house with Amplified premiering producer Lay-Far from Moscow, Russia. Lump (also known as Arttu) comes with the excellent disco stomper 'Down With You'. On the flip you find Sygaire and Co. debuting on Amplified as Muddeg. Their 'Luv No Guarantee' is a stunning vocal house bomb. Last but not least disco tweaker extraordinaire Nicholas comes with the amazing slow disco burner 'Wind City.'

With his stripped-down emotional love for music and kind soul, Leipzig-bound beatsmith and all round top geezer Luvless has been steadily cementing his reputation as one of contemporary house music’s finest.

Luvless is known for his work with Rose Records – a label he started with four other friends back in 2011 – and a smattering of appearances on several other labels. slamming down dusty disco edits as well as athomspheric house belters. Since 2017 he’s been focussing on his new project Velours Records. a vinyl outlet for different avenues of the Luvless sound and guest appearances by friends.

His music has been described as sweet, gentle even, but banging at the same time. It sometimes pays homage to the old Kerry days with extra magic dust sprinkled on top.
