For the next LUVCAST we've got quite a biggie in store! It's from none other than (Acid) House / Techno icon TIN MAN who is (as are we) based in our lovable city Vienna.

The California born Johannes Auvinen is not only a multi instrumentalist and analog freak but also quite a visionary when it comes to musical boundaries. His seven (!) albums were released between 2004 and 2014, encompassing a staggering amount of styles ranging from raw acid house to ambient chamber pop. Being an admirer of 80s synthpop, TIN MAN would even sing on many of his tracks - which is a good indicator of just how inconvenient it is to simply call him a techno producer. 2014 also marked the year when his skills as a selector were aquired by Resident Advisor for their prolific mix series.

Needless to say we're stoked to having him on board of the LUVCAST train! Here's what he had to say about the mix: "100% unplanned all vinyl mix (for the pervs)"

"It’s just a quick live recording in my room. I just played some stuff I pulled from the shelves without planning it out at all. Once and a while Jen would come in and give me a 'woo' – so lets say the title of this mix is 'In the pursuit of Woo'. A few records skipped, and nearly all of them have moments where they fall out of time, but I catch them! And as I always say, 'What is life without mistakes?'. Also I must say that 1/3rd of these records are Jen’s so of course I couldn’t have done it without her influence."

With two Boiler Rooms already under her belt and an increasingly frequent face on underground lineups, @gigi-fm had a colourful experience of music culture before settling in South London. Hailing originally from Paris, her dance background and knowledge of rhythm transferred neatly into her selections. This responsiveness to sound became the groundwork for her style, which has since evolved into an approach that keeps close conversation with the crowd.
