A year ago, I had the honor of closing the third day of the BaliSpirit Fest with this #DJset, woven with beats mainly from talented #Colombian and Latin American producers, or world travelers who have found in Latin American sounds a fundamental sonic base for their productions.

This particular set was especially significant for me, a milestone in my career as an #EcstaticDance #dj and singer, not only because of the opportunity to make the  dancing community from different parts of the world move to the delicious electronic music made in #Colombia ,  but also because I had the chance to be accompanied by talented friends from different parts of the world on stage with the magic of their sounds, their instruments, their voices, and the power of their dance.

As the founder of Ecstatic Dance Colombia, my mission is to bring the rich and diverse sounds of my homeland to ecstatic dance floors around the world. Colombian and Latin American music is full of rhythms and melodies that deeply connect with our roots and emotions, creating a unique and transformative experience on the dance floor.

Each track was carefully selected to take #dancers  on a sonic journey that celebrates our Colombian  cultural, ancestral heritage, and the creativity of our producers.

So dance it out, share it, and spread the word that this set is out and ready to dance without mind and open to the heart!

Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present our 38th edition with one of our lovely friends, @jotakarloza; chilean e-music producer and painter based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We've been following Jota closely and he knows a thing or two about keeping things interesting. If you check out @lump-rec - his fresh netlabel - you'll find tons of exclusives releases which occur periodically with full moon, take note of it. 
With acid/ interludes he dives into a spiritual journey, blended in sacred vibrations from ancients cultures and modern beats; all expertly-mixed with his mind-blowing selection. Many of the tracks here are original and remixes made by him and the other half from friends&people who are working in beautifull projects which somehow make these conections lovely available. Even if you know some of these fresh songs inside out, the way that Jota puts them in context is such jaw-dropping and frankly there's no reason to doubt it.

LA LVCHA que es sinónimo de alboroto, abarca la lucha que es, todas y cada una de las desigualdades y opresiones. Esta rebelión es divertida, sensorial y expresiva. Sonidos y vibraciones reunidas en una sola experiencia sonora que parte desde la marimba el choco colombiano hasta la caja de ritmos alemana. Desde el disfrute, el divertimento y la despreocupación, en armonía con el entorno de personas y la naturaleza que nos sostiene. Música que emerge de instrumentos que nacen de la tierra, emanada por artistas de latinoamérica
con ese sabor africano de sustento y raíz. Aquí la música compensa las injusticias al son de los sonidos, invita a todas las emociones a ser
celebradas y aceptadas. En la pista de baile todas las luchas son la misma
lvcha y todas las emociones se sacuden al son del movimiento. Porque sí, esta revolución se baila se vive y se goza Hemos llevado la gozadera a Festivales como Rototom, DGTL, Brunch Electronik, International Dub Gathering. Las fiestas populares de Barcelona; Sants, Poble Sec, Raval y Gótico.

La Lvcha is a synonym for fuss, it takes on the struggle that is each and every one of the existing inequalities and oppressions. This rebelion is fun, senatorial and filled with expression. 

Sound and vibrations united in one sound experience that goes from the marimba in the colombian Chocó to the german rhythm box. From joy, amusement and carelessness in harmony with surrounding people and the nature that sustains us. 

Music that emerges from instruments that are born from the earth, empanada by latin american artists that bring an african flavour of sustenance and roots. Here, music makes up for the injustices to the rhythm of sounds, inviting every emotion to be celebrated and accepted. 

On the dance floor every struggle (lucha in spanish) is the same and all emotions are shaken to the sound of movement. Because it is so, this is a revolution which is lived and enjoyed.

We have taken this “gozadera” to festivals such as Fusion Festival, Rototom, DGTL, Brunch Electronik, International Dub Gathering, Barcelona’s popular festivities: Sants, Poblesec, Raval and Gothic.
